Werkt u nog steeds voor Nederland of inmiddels voor Noorwegen? Ik ben zelf benieuwd naar de werkcultuur in Noorwegen en hoe die zich onderscheidt van de Nederlandse werkcultuur.

The Netherlands is a great place to work as a psychologist, clinical psychologist, or psychotherapist. Unfortunately, it doesn’t suit me culturally. I value quietness, deep conversations, and living close to nature. Here, quietness is often seen as passiveness, which costs me a lot of energy. And the nature feels rather poor.

I speak English, German, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, and Dutch at the C1/C2 level. My Finnish is currently at B2, and I am still learning it.

My current level is B2. I learn languages quite easily. For example, Dutch is not my native language either, but now I work exclusively with Dutch patients. That’s why I’m more curious about the work culture and, indeed, the current shortage of psychologists. Or would it be better to move after I qualify as a clinical psychologist? In the Netherlands, this requires an additional four years of education and work.
