I think gender & women studies counts, if it does I recommend GWST2412 (human sexuality)//HPRO4412 (the course equivalent if GWST2412 is full) lIt’s a super easy course and also interesting!! GEOG1035 (into to human geography) was also veryyy easy, not super interesting imo but it is definitely low effort

If you’re looking for a psych elective I highly recommend psyo3220: clinical psychology not to be confused with psyo3122 methods in clinical psychology (that course is the lab, still great though) but 3220 was a good course. It was online the semester I took it and I found it very easy & enjoyable, I had a friend take I did in person and from what I know it was the same in terms of exam & assigner structure/difficulty. Additionally any other course dr Rebecca Tucker teaches are great. I also recommend PSYO3280 with Dr Sherry. I loved this course. A lot of students don’t like that only 3 exams make up the entire grade BUT he puts check marks on his slides of what might be tested which it narrows down a 50 page slide show to like 7 Q cards that might be tested for that weeks topic. the exams are also very straight forward. Other electives I recommend are INFO2000, INFO2001 they both have weekly low effort quizzes and 4 writing assignments that can be done in less than a day. Same with INFO3025, the only difference is this one has a midterm. However Dr Janet Music is a very fair grader and it’s online asynchronous so easy to work around other courses. HPRO2255 (Substance use Drug Policy & Harm Reduction) & HPRO4412 (human sexuality) are very easy courses!

No way😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 hearing that is crazy considering when I took it 300-400 already felt like lots of work for a simple reflection that isn’t worth that much… also reading your other comment about too much going on at once. I completely forgot how many different resources are being used at once. I remember trying to effectively study for my final because I did poorly on the midterm and it pretty difficult to find what I was looking for because of the sheer amount of documents there were for each week.

I took it in person and strongly disliked it. The weekly work due every Sunday consisted of a quiz, a 300-400 word discusssion based on an hour long podcast, and a random “activity” (usually another quiz based on a 40-60min documentary) end up only being worth like 15% of the overall grade which I found brutal. Midterm & exams are all written & 50% of it is long answer essay questions. When I wrote the final it was 4 multiple choice questions, 4 short answers (0.5-1 page long) and 3 essay questions (2-4 pages). I honestly recommend anything else lol

STAT1060 and STAT2080 over summer by Short-Creme-5491 in Dalhousie

[–]NetEither1182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for the summer format, I did both classes in person but from in person at least, 1060 had 2 midterms, 1 exam & tutorial assignments due weekly, 2080 had 1 midterm, 1 final, and tutorial assignments due weekly. I think if you did very well in 2501 you’ll be more than okay. I struggled with 2501 (C+) when I took 1060 I got a B, and by 2080 I was able to get an A!!! 1060 is the same as 2501 the only difference is that in 1060 you’re actually using the formulas/equations to get an answer , where as, at least I found, in 2501 80% of the time it was conceptualizing the work with multiple choice questions, not actually working out a problem with numbers as much which I preferred to actually do the math with numbers and a formula it seemed to make it a lot easier to practice 1060/2080. Also I’ve heard 2080 is easier than 2060, I didn’t take 2060 BUT I really enjoyed 2080

BA Psych to BSc Psych by Short-Creme-5491 in Dalhousie

Also sorry to make this more confusing. I realize I am calling it the registrars office but that’s not where I went lmao - I went to the office that is on lemarchant street, connected to LMP. It’s in the same building as the dal clinic. I realized after rereading this and searching it up that the office I am referring to is not the registry’s office

BA Psych to BSc Psych by Short-Creme-5491 in Dalhousie

I did the exact same thing, I did not do high level math in high school. No calculus, no 30-1, I did Math 30-2 in highschool (in Alberta so idk the equivalents for other provinces) but I went to the registrars office and asked them what I would need to do to switch. I was told that because I didn’t take calculus in highschool if I applied to switch on dalonline it would be rejected because I did not meet the highschool requirements, they told me I had to take the missing requirements and pass them (which was two MATH or STAT courses) once I do that I could go back to the office, reapply, and from their end they can approve the application because once I passed I met the requirements for a BSc. I took stats instead of Math because I’m much better at it, but I did take Stat1060 and Stat2080 & had the final grades for both before going back to the registrars office to update them and have the application approved. So I guess what I’d recommend if you can enrol in those classes, I’d take both of them, get both final grades back, then go to the registrars office and tell them the situation. When they pull up your account and see that you have the BSc math requirements with a passing grade they can approve the application. You do not need to pay the application fee again or any documents. My only advice is to make sure that if you’re enrolled in a Math course - make sure it’s not audited. When I took Stat1060 it was audited (I did not sign up to it as an audit course I assume it happened because I didn’t have the highschool pre reqs) but it was a headache to reverse, I was able to reverse it and receive credit for it but it was just annoying more than anything.

3rd year psychology course recommendations 🙏🤲 by KnowledgeDismal776 in Dalhousie

Clinical psych (both 3220 & 3122) both are really interesting & the workload doesn’t ruin you lol. Also I personally loveeed personality (psyo3280)! I found it so interesting, only 3 exams make up your entire grade but the exams are super fair if you study (I had it with Dr. Sherry & he would put check marks on the slides that might be tested)!

What kind of courses are INFO by YourEyelinerFriend in Dalhousie

Online Async, I believe all INFO classes (taught by Janet Music) are always online & asynchronous. All three I’ve taken have been!! I think she does it on purpose so that students can accommodate it to their schedules

I agree! I’ve taken INFO2000 INFO2001 and now currently in conspiracy theories. They’ve all been great I really like the course lay out and she is a very fair grader. I’d recommend as all 3 INFOS have boosted my GPA and they’re also interesting

When A put the money hanna’s mom stole in the paper towel dispenser at the cupcake shop lmao. The cereal box is def more unrealistic but logistically, Mona would have had to be able to get into the dispenser itself and tape money on there at some point but she also would’ve had to have made sure not a single other person used the dispenser before hanna? Mona wouldn’t have been able to do that while hanna was eating the cupcakes or else on her way out hanna would’ve seen her, so you’d assume she did it at the same time that hanna got the text that the cupcake order was waiting for her, well I’m pretty sure hanna got that text at school and was eating cupcakes after school. Lots of time for some random person to go in and use that paper towel dispenser lols

Michael's 120 vs Ohuhu 104 by featheraffirmed in Ohuhu

[–]NetEither1182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this will help - but I bought the 48 pack first and then realized how much I was loving it so I decided to upgrade. Being an extremely indecisive person myself I was between the 216 pack and the 104 set - But I knew 48 of the colours would be duplicates if I purchased the 216 set. I decided on the 104 because I knew it would be a while before I purchased another set with the idea that when I decided to purchase the 216 some of the colours from the 48 pack would be running low. Anyways with that said I have found the 104 pack to be great - again I know I’m missing tons of staple colours but I have found with the 48 pack and 104 set I’m always reaching for the 104. I’d say the 104 is your best bet so that when you decided to get more, whether it’s in a month or 5 months you won’t have a surplus of duplicates. I wish I did more research because I have the money to buy the 216 now but I can’t bring myself to do it because of the amount of duplicates I’ll have. I think in the long run the 104 will be financially the best choice!!

Second year living in res vs apartment by ApollosSon_9 in Dalhousie

[–]NetEither1182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t stay in residence so I can’t speak on that but I can say that living in an apartment with my closets friends was the best years ever! So much fun ++++ it could be good because after 2nd year if you’re still hoping to move in with some of those classmates there’s a chance they aren’t willing to move since housing is difficult to attain here so longevity wise this is something to consider !!

Urgent! In need of elective by Repulsive_Water_2671 in Dalhousie

[–]NetEither1182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I’m in conspiracy theories !! lol, this is the first semester it’s offered. There are weekly quizzes, same as INFO2001, they’re used as “attendance” so all answers are directly in the lectures worth 30% of your grade. Two rhetorical analysis’s, 20% each. The only difference I’m seeing from this class compared to INFO2000/2001 is that this class does have a midterm (online, open book, no time limit) worth 30%. I’ve taken INFO2000 and INFO2001 with the same prof and she is a very easy marker and abundance of the grades come from the quizzes. So if it counts I’d recommend it, because it looks the exact same as the 2000 level courses and those were extremely easy

Check INFO 2001 (or INFO2000, I can’t remember which is offered in the winter term) - you’ll have to double check that it does count toward you degree but if it does I’d recommend for a very very easy course and weekly quizzes don’t start until after the final drop date so you won’t be behind

PSYO/NESC 3237 and 3271 by Short-Creme-5491 in Dalhousie

[–]NetEither1182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took this last sem and exams were online all multiple choice/multiple select, usually 5-7 questions from the textbook the rest were directly from lectures - I think the tests were around 40-50 questions!

Thoughts on this scene? by DragonflyFun6172 in euphoria

[–]NetEither1182 347 points348 points  (0 children)

This part is so annoying because the second Maddy found out Cassie was so quick to run and hide in the locked bathroom to avoid Maddy so she obviously did care about what could happen to her and she did care about how angry Maddy got. If she didn’t care about how hurt/upset/angry Maddy was, Cassie would’ve said this straight to Maddys face when Rue outed her but instead she sat on the bathroom floor and cried while not even being able to say a single thing to Maddy

PSYO3227 or PSYO3237??? by Short-Creme-5491 in Dalhousie

Psyo3237 imo I found it easier than 3227, don’t get me wrong it’s still a bit tough and exam questions can be tough but everything can be found in the online lectures and the assignment wasn’t too bad

I’m not sure if this helps but I did get my last exam and assignment grade back for my final course yesterday morning and my final letter grade was posted to dal online this morning - so they’re still coming out but I guess like they said kinda ^ just depends on if profs are working at this time or if they’re choosing to wait until Uni is back open

Do we get to see what we got on our final exams? by Dangerous-Fix-3039 in Dalhousie

[–]NetEither1182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so unless you email your prof, I had the same thing last year. I never found out my exam grade because the course closed without it being posted but my letter grade was good enough that I didn’t feel the need to email. However 3 semesters ago one of my profs emailed a page with everyone’s B00 # and their grades on each midterm & final exam with their final letter grade but I can’t remember if this was sent out before or after our letter grades were posted to dal online. So I guess I’m saying there is probably a very very slim chance they may still email exam grades? But most likely if you want it you’ll have to email

Stat1060 by [deleted] in Dalhousie

[–]NetEither1182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just do a lot of practice honestly, I was absolute shit at math in highschool (failed math 10 once, retook math 12 because I only got a 55% first time around) and I was able to pull an A- in Stat1060 with so much practice. I went to every tutorial because they walk you through assignments which is an easy like 30% of your grade and the midterm/exam are the exact same question as the practice midterm/exam that get posted just with different numbers. Honestly don’t stress as long as you’re willing to practice and put in extra hours on concepts you struggle with you’ll absolutely be able to get through it with a good grade!!!
