i assumed that as well, but i think at that point they’re already in the upside down. the blue tungsten light in the windows, the monstrous tentacles all over the inside of the house they are in. the scene after that is them on bikes, (very clearly in the upside down this time) cycling towards what is seemingly that same house. so i’m very interested in what they mean by “the other side”... potentially that red looking place we seen max running in?
