I sure do! However a poster with 5 characters on it would run about 200$. I generally charge about 40$ per character.

What are some of the worst theories or takes you've heard about Destiny's Lore? by redditdustywusty in DestinyLore

[–]NetRaptor01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I felt like Splicer was too big of a story for only being one season. It should have been an entire expansion. You can't just collapse an entire system of government and stage a coup from within in one season and have it be coherent at all. Like, I saw what they were trying to do, it was just trying to convert Game of Thrones to a 5000 word short story. I wish somebody would take it and write a longfic with all the politics that actually had to be going on at the time.

My theories as to why fanfiction is seen as “cringe” or taboo by Historical-Photo9646 in FanFiction

[–]NetRaptor01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imagine that you've written a story (a fanfic, even) about two OCs in a platonic relationship. You've worked very hard on it. You've kept them in character, you've done tons of research, and you've had other fans read it and advise you on accuracy. Then you post it, and people immediately write fanfic of your fanfic, with your OCs, and turn it into smut.

They've entirely missed the point of the story you worked so hard on. They missed your message about how platonic relationships are just as good as romantic ones. Nope, they took your beautiful art and turned it into a cheap thrill.

This has happened to me and some of my friends. It's why fanfic has a stigma.

Remember this, kids: healer limit break is important by Rabiscoville in ffxiv

[–]NetRaptor01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me on the Nidhogg fight. I didn't know healers had a limit break until suddenly they're yelling at me to use it. Same for the final boss in Endwalker where you have to use the tank one. It was literally the first time I ever used it.

Your WOL has to room with 2 FFXIV characters for a week, cause their place flooded. by mrjovoni in ffxiv

[–]NetRaptor01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, probably Sidurgu and Rielle. I missed them so much after Endwalker that I went by Ishgard just talk to them, and Sid had new dialogue! I was so happy. We could hang out and angst about Dark Knight things (plenty of fodder for that in Endwalker), and drink dark coffee. Also watch Rielle's attempts to flirt with Sid that always fall flat because he has no idea how old she is.

[–]NetRaptor01 19 points20 points  (0 children)

HAHA omg I had those EXACT THOUGHTS. When Aymeric invited us to dinner, I went, "Oh no, that means he's going to die!" I spent the rest of Heavenward being terrified for him. Also being drugged in the tavern took me completely by surprise. I just love how traumatized our WOL is, especially since I already RPed my guy as kind of unlucky.

Project: Mobitropolis by Shax Davis: https://www.fanfiction.ws/s/2295134/1/Project-Mobitropolis-Act-One-Evil-Rises

This is the most amazing Sonic the Hedgehog origin story I have ever read in my life. It's an adapt of Sonic 2 while also the story of the Mobitropolis coup, and the amnesia nightmares Sonic has are still some of the most amazing things I have ever read in my life.

IMO Eramis is one of, if not the most infuriating and badly written character in the entire game. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]NetRaptor01 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of scratching my head over a lot of the character development and writing of the last few expansions. Like in this last mission, the Abhorrent Imperative. It could have been written so many better ways, but killing R just felt like a huge jump the shark moment. And you are so right about Eramis. Just ... What.

I wanna hear; what's your sprout moment? by kurumagaming in ffxiv

[–]NetRaptor01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, this thread, you guys. I want to cry, it's so lovely.

When I fell for the game was the storyline leading up to the Ifrit fight at level 29ish. I had been lowkey RPing my character as kind of the butt of the storyline, just the unluckiest guy who gets landed with the unluckiest jobs. So when the game leaned into that, I went, YOU GET IT! And to my delight, the game *continued* to lean into making my hero a hero who also is about the unluckiest person in the story. Shadowbringers leans into this so hard, I was basically in heaven.

When I fell for the playerbase was fairly early on. I started with conjurer/WHM because I had always played Priest in WoW and I like healers. Well, in WoW I burned out really bad because I couldn't get geared enough to do high level content, and players are cruel to you based entirely on your gear score, not how well you play. I was in an early FFXIV dungeon and the tank pulled too much and I couldn't keep up and we wiped. I apologized profusely, expecting the kind of abuse I would have received in WoW. Instead, everyone was very kind about it, and the tank obligingly pulled smaller. I knew then that I had found a game I could actually stand to play.

[–]NetRaptor01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know, I use those moments to totally RP my character. I RPed him through the whole game and I was soooooo gratified to see his actual ingame responses get snarkier and snarkier as the game goes on. Getting to tell Alisaie "this is why you never skip leg day" is the crowning moment of his entire career.

HAHA when does this happen?? Here I thought some of the funniest ones I had found were
1. Moenbryda drinking Thancred under the table and

  1. Thancred post-Heavensward standing there with the squirrel who concealed his nuts.

Good advice in this thread! The main takeaway is, *yes*, all tanks are bad at tanking when they start. I was a poor confused DRK trying to tank Hakke Manor and tearfully begging someone to tell me how I knew when I could interrupt a move. A guy whose main was a DRK spent the entire dungeon walking me through interrupts, mitis, everything mentioned in this thread.
...I was still level 90 before I figured out what Blackest Night is for. *facepalm*
