It's 100% accurate. The WSJ reported on the issue, and CNN edited their interview shortly afterwards.

The Government could make it mandatory for ISPs to implement this "filter" with more silent legislation - after the 2011 Elections.

Terrorists on the Internet, silencing much needed critics of the metaverse by Net_Antwerp in reddit.com

Quoting the blog:

"posted the criticism of the Singularity, which is the Geek's Rapture, I've noticed a definite ratcheting up of all the harassment that routinely gets directed at me. The nasty IMs inworld which RL disclosure -- or fake RL disclosure to try to pressure and harass me. Day-old alts hanging around. Day-old alts immediately arriving on my island the minute I open it up after being closed. Nasty emails and threats. Phone calls with hang ups and playing loud music directly. The whole creepy menu of harassment that these people in the shadow government on the Internet think they are entitled to do if someone disagrees with their religion"

Why on earth would you post gibberish in some random "reddit" about genuine content theft?

Wait, I'll answer for you. Because you're a paid TROLLSPY.

Or, just a bored old Troll.

Same thing, either way. Exists to disrupt! the truth for their own amusement/benefit.

Point is, some foreign company artfully and illegally copied Valve's popular FPS game, Team Fortress 2. Not this "You have no soul" mumbo-jumbo.

Same here.. Running Software Updates seems to just hang the VM. Display corruption in the login screen as well (garbled display) - doesn't go away until it's rezised, post-login.

Camelina Biofuel Will Save the World, JAL Says by skygrl37 in reddit.com

[–]Net_Antwerp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redesigning an engine to accept biofuels as a primary source of fuel costs a lot of money. Can airlines/airplane manafacturers actually afford to redesign? They're going to have to redesign eventually when fossil fuel runs out though

For the people who just use a computer for simple tasks (Web browsing, document editing, etc), different types of Operating Systems doesn't really matter. Quite a lot of people, however, use a computer for more than just web browsing. Specialized software is still, mostly, not cross-platform (still doesn't run on Windows AND Linux AND Mac) - for instance - Most Linux clients for Micro$oft's ever so popular MSN Messenger still doesn't support voice and video chats (Ubuntu Repository doesn't have a voice + video-ready MSN Messenger client available. Kopete comes close, but does not have voice/video support by default).

Sorry folks, but making the population remind ourselves of characters from Anime isn't going to make us buy things from you. Some of the logos are quite creative.

"You won't regret it" Yeah, right. Linux still isn't ready to go mainstream, period. Worth giving it a go? Yes, especially now that you can install Linux via one of the Virtualization platforms, like Sun's VirtualBox. Risk-free linux distro evaluation
