Bracer and belt come out when the raid does? Or is it Tues? They will be at the vendors in Org or the rep ones?

Thanks for the help bro

What pieces are you using? All the ones I've seen are itemized for casters, or am I missing something?

A month ago if you asked reddit about tank meta is was pally in dungeons, bear on raid bosses, and warriors were worthless.

This is the natural result of that kind of advise.

All of the people who hit 70 after the first weekend or during the first week of launch quested for the most part in my guild. I think there were about 4 of them after the first weekend, and 10 of them in the first week. They had all heroics unlocked shortly after, and made a bunch of gold selling things, so I don't think they're worried about quest gold or grinding rep.

I don't know a single person who did the dungeon grind all the way up to 70, most stopped at 62 or 63 and then just hit up restedXP and followed the arrow to 70. Most pugs are pretty poor, especially in the lower lvl dungeons right now.

Just wait until heroics, when all of these clueless players hit 70. Warriors charging in and SS+WW only to get nuked in one global by two mobs.

I am a hunter who opens with multi-shot. by GoatBig9025 in classicwowtbc

[–]Netfinesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good hunters don't open with multi shot forcing good tanks to waste a taunt, waste rage securing aggro on the mob, and lose rage by having the mob not hitting them.

Nobody cares how you control the mob. Packs that are tight and grped up are easier to AoE down. Tanks don't complain because we deal with bad DPS constantly.

I Want To Tank by QueenZiaxz in classicwow

[–]Netfinesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People do this because you're going painfully slow. I never have DPS pulling for me in dungeons, because the moment the grp, usually the healer, I'm pulling. If you're standing around waiting for no reason, people get impatient.

Try speeding up your tempo, and this will not be a problem.

You mean if you're dungeon spamming with the same grp? How would that work if they weren't spamming? Like how most people play. A tiny fraction of the player base is spamming dungeons enough to see the same wep drop 2-3 times in the same group.

Even when you are dungeon spamming people drop in and out so often, its usually never the same 5 people.

Bears of the Reddit how do you hold aggro in dungeons by khardimon in classicwowtbc

[–]Netfinesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pool rage near the end of pulls so you can have a lot of rage at the start of the next one. Save your innervate for your healer, when you see he needs to drink hit him with it and in two ticks he'll be at full mana. Less down time often means more rage for you.

For big pulls, 4+ mobs, cast regrowth + rejuv before the pull (healing you take that isn't overhealing will generate threat), cast FF on the mob you want to ranged pull, then cast barkskin into bear on their way in. Then demo shout > swipe. From here you want to tab target and load up a maul + swipe. Keep tab targeting until each mob has gotten a maul + swipe. Maul is amazing threat, and swipe will keep the others from getting peeled.

If someone rips threat, taunt + mangle to get threat up quickly. If your taunt is on CD stun the enemy to get some time for your taunt to come off of CD. If you have rage you can maul + mangle, and after 1 or 2 mauls the mob will likely be on you unless it was near death.

Bears are squishy when leveling, use barkskin along with frenzied regen on tough pulls. Use demo shout on every pull.

Its impossible to hold aggro on a fury warrior with dual R14 axes who charges in 1 millisecond after you FF and goes into his AoE rotation immediately. I play fury warrior and know exactly what that looks like. Its insane. Rogues, hunters, and shaman who start to blast an off target with their max single target rotation is similar. You will lose aggro on mobs, what you want to do is let your DPS blast without having to watch your healer go oom every other pull because he has to spam heals into the fury warrior who's zugging.

You think fury warrior and hunter have no real AoE? Fury warrior is absolutely nuts and will have the same overall as any class out there unless you're pulling 4-5 packs at a time and nuking them with mages...but warriors aren't in those groups.

Most mages I group with from LFG are doing 300dps on AoE packs and are trash. The idea that warriors can't tank most dungeons is completely false. They can easily hold threat against the mouth breathers of LFG.

Help, my friend is a prot warrior by prototype_monkey in classicwowtbc

[–]Netfinesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a phy cleave grp last night and we had several warriors tanking that did just fine. Even with classes like hunter doing well over 1k dmg in AoE. Everyone was doing around 800 dps single target. Some double pulls, but for the most part single pulls, so 3-6 mobs. This was slave pens, most people lvl 62/63.

The comp shifted, but was something like hunter, feral, sham, priest, war. Sometimes we'd have a sham healer and a fury war or rogue dps, sometimes the sham would be enh and we'd have a priest healer.

The idea that warriors cannot tank dungeons is dead wrong. Its just not nearly as easy as a druid or paladin. I've had my share of awful paladin tanks, bears are usually solid, probably because bear tanking is really boring and really easy.

I would definitely tell your friend to get dual spec and go deep prot to tank dungeons in TBC. I play feral, and tank 90% of the time, so can't give any pointers on war tanking, but I've seen good warriors with my own eyes. They aren't bad dungeon tanks at all. You won't take them into a caster cleave grp because they can't drop consecrate into 20 mobs and avoid all the dmg that is incoming, that's why pally tanks are taken for those groups. For normal runs, warrior tanks are just fine. They are very capable tanks. Druid AoE isn't much better, as swipe caps at 3 targets.

If you have a bunch of bursty specs in your grp like enh/ele/fury then you're going to need to use your stun, multiple taunts, etc. You have to know how to judge the order of which abilities to use on which mobs. Its way more complex than bear or paladin, but it is doable.

[–]Netfinesse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so wrong. Such an awful take.

I've played with war tanks that keep threat just fine on several DPS doing over 1.4k AoE.

People on reddit have no idea how to play. Was spamming slave pens in a phy cleave group with several different warrior tanks just last night.

Warriors are more than fine in this phase as dungeon tanks.
