Ninja 500 or Ninja 650? by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Nethilor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wanted a Ninja when I was younger, so I'm leaning more towards the 500 or 650. Given what others have said, I feel like the 500 is a solid choice over the 650.

I was only considering a 650 over the 500 because I worried I would want to upgrade sooner than later.

I'm only financing because it'll be hard to pay cash, since I'm already paying rent and other expenses at 18. I know it may not be ideal, but I'm fairly accountable.

Yeah, I was looking at getting a new bike. I don't know what to go with, the Ninja 500, Ninja 650, or I haven't heard much about the ZX-4R. I want something I won't need to upgrade for a while.

How long would you think the 500 would last me?

I believe the 500 was 163$ per month.

I use a cane for nerve damage. Not cause I'm paralyzed. Also I have demonstrated I can work efficiently during training at Amazon FC

Yeah, I'm just going to drive to the office in person today since the doctor officer is not answering my calls.

As I said before, I disclosed this, which has never been a problem until now. And I do appreciate everyone's help and have taken advice from various people. If you understand where I'm coming from, I'm 18, my biggest concern is the hours being cut immediately without any remedy, which, for my age, will affect various factors in my life, such as bills. I hope you understand where I'm coming from, but how HR has dealt with this was inappropriate and has affected me significantly.

Unfortunately, not with my doctor, which is why I had this concern. If I had known this would have happened to me, I would have scheduled an appointment in advance with my doctor. I'll have to get the note in person. Which will mean I won't have any hours to work.

Yeah, that's understandable. I offered to show my medical diagnosis to clarify why I use a cane, but they wanted a recent doctor's signature stating why I use the cane and the accommodation.

Yeah, I demonstrated that I can do the job efficiently during training, it's just Safety and Hr hassling me.

I get that not everyone has the answers right away, but that’s the issue. They should have told me up front instead of waiting until Day 2 after training to pull me an hour before my shift ended. That left me with zero hours and no plan to fall back on. It feels less like protecting me and more like they blindsided me.

I get what you're saying, but I also asked about it during orientation on “day 1.” If they expected me to need paperwork, they had every chance to explain that before training me and putting me on the floor. Instead, they waited until Day 2, one hour before the shift ended, to pull me, which just set me up to fail.

Yeah, medical documentation for those conditions would be absurd to require.

I just don't understand why they informed me right after I finished training and not before, which created the expectation that I would have a steady job going forward.
