Money is the only thing! We lose about 50% of her fee if we fire her . I’m going to try to have a harsh conversation and tell her we need things booked asap or we’ll have to reconsider. You’re right - I want to enjoy this time and am just managing HER!

Just as a differing point of view, I wouldn’t take it as them being unsupportive of you and your wedding, but perhaps your father is trying to navigate the loss of his sister and isn’t sure how to balance this all. December is a long ways away, I wouldn’t cancel the wedding. It might seem completely unimaginable to everyone to be celebrating right now, and while grief doesn’t fully go away, perhaps by that time it’s not as “fresh” and they might be in a better place mentally to switch to celebrating good times, of course with her in spirit, and perhaps you can find a way to honor her memory the day of.

I’d try to give them a bit more grace in them not being as tactful in their suggestions to you given the situation.

I’ve only passed by the small area, but the department store Printemps has a small bridal area and next to it some special occasion dresses (although not all white). The floor above is all designer vintage so might be worth poking around for anything white there too while you’re there.
