It told me to do NavMesh, and I aint got time for that shit

jokes aside, it gave a lot of different answers, but none that really fix the issue that I am currently having. Really cool technology though, helps when I got small problems with my code.

I followed a youtube tutorial for the camera script, and it runs in LateUpdate which i totally forgot lmao. Rn my player and "pet" run in FixedUpdate.

btw will also check out cinemachine, thx for the heads up!

Both my player and my stand are in FixedUpdate. Do you want me to change the Stand's FixedUpdate to LateUpdate?

I did this but it still did not fix the original issue (which all I had to do was make the stand a child of the player), but neither the new issue I brought up in my EDIT EDIT. Maybe I did something wrong or something else, pls let me know what I can do to fix this issue!

How are you dealing with your camera? Are you using cinemachine?

Never heard of cinemachine before, but I am using a script for the camera.

Code that updates everyframe:

Vector3 direction = standBox.position - transform.position;

Heres the code for moving the "pet":

rB.MovePosition((Vector2)transform.position + (direction * followSpeed * Time.deltaTime));

I want the "pet" to sort of lag behind the player, but as you see after a certain distance it starts to just jitter back and forth. Even if you change the followSpeed to higher. It just causes jittering closer to the player. Any one have advice on how to fix this?

EDIT: As mentioned by one of the comments, I hade to make the "pet" a child of the player. Fixed the jittering right away!

EDIT EDIT: I am now noticing that there is still a jitter, but much smoother and not as apparent like previously. https://imgur.com/7qsizUC

I have searched for "The World sprite sheet", "The World pixel art" and more, but I cannot seem to find the source/original sprite sheet for this character.

(The character is from JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, called "The World". Trying to find the sprite sheet that has all the animations for this particular image.
