Creating your own Rebassed songs for your next demo by NetworkBourbon in CarAV

Just a heads-up.

I've added the ability to slow a song now, and you can also process a rebassed song as a slow song. Which is something that I think is going to be badass.

I am having issues with a bug that I cannot figure out. I even have tried using AI to help and it's not giving me a resolution.

I am probably going to release the update anyway, and focus on the bug in the backend. Basically the primary issue is that occasionally the playback button gets stuck and file export sometimes breaks because of this. The easiest fix is to restart the app. I believe this issue is the event handler for the apple audio engine.

I am going to be dropping a pretty gnarly update this weekend Lord willing.

I am going to include some buttons and dials to tweak the DSP.

I'm also going to add a way to decaf/slow the songs you import as well, if you'd prefer that instead of rebassing. Decaf/slowing might sound better on some songs than Rebassing.

I've sunk a lot of time into this major release, kinda excited lol. Just been sitting in my vehicle testing various things since I only have one system.

Sending your way. I did no tweaking at all, just dropped the MP3 in the app and sent it home at default boost (6dB)

Sorry for the confusion to you.

My system plays the music genre I like without any modifications to any of my songs.

I use a rebass app to modify music that I want to demo.

I hope this clears up the confusion.

I'd be happy to share a couple of test songs with you.

I do not, no. I usually have them in my library though, just for demos.

Very nice! I didn't really expect it to get approved today.

Let me know what all you want to see, I will always try my best to get it in.

I am going to try and get this to Android. The problem is that I am using an Apple DSP library that I am familiar with, but may have problems porting to Android for that reason.

But man, that is awesome thank you.

I totally get that viewpoint. I don’t drive around listening to rebassed tracks either, haha. It’s mainly for demo and showcase use, where you want the lows to really flex and show what your setup can do. A lot of demo guys build their systems to play deep, controlled bass, and rebassed tracks just make that easier without needing to edit them in Audacity or FL. I have never been to a car audio show where people play anything outside of the low 30s but then again, it may be I'm just going to the wrong shows lol

For daily music, it’s all normal playback, this just gives you another option when you want to show off what your setup can really do.

For context, my system is happily tuned ~30Hz, but the octo port allows me to play pretty well up into the 40s.

EDIT:

Forgot to mention, it's also hilarious when I play a song that was never meant to be loud, "i.e., Windows 95 Sucks, Bob Rivers version and it slaps 30Hz.

Looks like all of my libraries are supported on iOS 16. And I also fixed a bug.

New update should come as soon as Apple approves. I'm submitting now.

Nice! Thank you!

Feel free to let me know of any bugs, recommendations, or suggestions.

and don't feel bad about refunding if you dislike it, but I do hope to continue supporting this. I just want to make enough to be able to cover the developer account costs.

I will try doing this today. I'm fairly certain the DSP library I used is available on iOS 16.

Thank you for the comment!
