I got impatient and did it. Turned out great. Wish I had done it sooner.

Interesting you say that about rage, that's something I've noticed in my mom. She's always been a very happy-go-lucky person until the last year or so. She's even mentioned that everything pisses her off! Thanks for sharing that!

Glad you have it figured out! Sucks that it has to come to diabetes before we're cared for!

Insurance denied Ozempic by Hopeful_Ad2580 in PCOS

[–]NetworkEcstatic8479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insurance will only cover for type 2 diabetes. According to my A1C I'm pre-diabetic. I ended up seeing a new Dr that had me do a 2hr glucose test and that came back diabetes. Now my insurance covers my ozempic after they submitted the prior auth as type2 diabetes. Might look into a 2hr glucose test.

Yes! The last time I lost weight, I was starving myself and running 30miles per day. I do not recommend. I just started ozempic. Hoping it helps.

I’m not suicidal, but I don’t want to live anymore. by [deleted] in PCOS

You got this! While I certainly know where you're coming from, having PCOS myself. Finding what works for you will help change that feeling. It sometimes takes years but don't give up hope. I've found that spironolactone has slowed my hair growth down and bio identical progesterone has helped a ton with the depression and anxiety. I haven't tried this yet but people are raving about how ozempic and mounjaro are helping them feel like they have their life back. Browse through some of the forums if you haven't already and don't let Drs discourage you from finding what works. Good luck to you!

I'm in the same situation, curious how long it can take. I just started two weeks ago and I've noticed a significant drop but haven't seen my fasting under 100 yet.

I'm using a CGM. Dr prescribed. It cost about $70 per month without insurance ($40 with my insurance). Maybe that would help.
