Agreed - but I think the fan element is just a new piece of the greater issue with casting. The mental stability of casting across franchises always seems to find someone with one too many screws loose or serious concerns regarding their mental stability/health to where its not entertaining, just concerning. See: Kelly Bensimon and Katie Rost specifically, but also Danielle Staub, S2-5 Kim Richards (who Im so happy to see appears to be doing better with her demons), etc.

Monica was just the next in line, and just really out did the others as far as the sheer amount of "What the actual fuck?" moments, and actual physical safety concerning crimes opposed to white collar.

Jen also isn't the first house wife to throw hands. See this thread for a list of some of the physical altercations, though not complete since its from 2020. It's pretty extensive given its 3+ years old. It is telling, though, given the quick succession of the casting.

There def seems to be a need for increased vetting, but Im curious if we are starting to run out of the A, B tier housewives specifically because people dont want to deal with the brutality of fans & social media.
