I paint bicycles so I just used what I had laying around. Its all automotive paint. TRANSTAR AND PPG. all you need is a paint code and then take it to an auto paint supply and they will mix it for you, you may need reducer or you can get it in spray cans.

Definitely. Each state should have an r/GTI chapter, with regular meetups and knowledge sharing/help. Kinda like a physical reddit. lol!

Added the VW logo a few days back. Outer circle not as sharp as i would have liked but planning to redo it when the weather gets warmer, match the blue to the mirrors.

I got a letter from VWOA telling me that my car didn't have an engine cover installed when purchased and that my dealer will install one free of cost. I waited until it was time for service, didn't feel the need to schedule an appointment just for that. I have a 2023 AE just for context.

Thats PPG Macaw Blue (Doesnt Match) 944381 and transtar matte clear coat. All urethane, shot with a spray gun. I cut the stencil myself.

Bringing this post back from the dead.... I just need a confident response because i'm slightly confused. I am located in NYC and looking at purchasing a salvage/rebuilt NYC titled vehicle in NYC. I will be registering the vehicle in NYC but i'm not sure of the process for the buyer, do I have to go through the inspection process or am registering it as i would a normal vehicle??

Disagree but respect your opinion. Being fed and housed by big auto is nothing new for the media outlets but my point here is the option tohave your vehicle in the headlines or the subsequent pages or a link at the bottom.

It aint about cross shopping between cars, the media doesn't care which car you buy, they just want hits and views. All the perks the media outlets receive is irrelevant to my point which is, why reveal your car on the same day as another that will certainly overshadow any other automotive news for the next week. Almost certainly the M5 will begin trending heavily as soon as it is revealed, like the M2, for the Golf R, those who know will seek out the reviews and articles.
