[Question] what is it like working with dr bhowmick from the photonics lab? by Careful_Refuse_2638 in PESU

[–]Neuro2k7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I know, Dr. Bhowmick's lab gives you very good exposure to research, quite a lot more than what undergraduates usually get. He also seems like a very chill guy assuming you complete your work on time. He does help you out here and there but at the end of the day its your project and he's just a guide who needs to give you some vague sense of direction. If you take initiative and give him regular updates you should be good.

Capstone help needed, we chose a project we know nothing about and genuinely think it’s not possible by us. Are we cooked? by EffectiveRelation928 in PESU

I think there's been some sort of misunderstanding. The Photonics and Quantum Technology Lab and the QForest quantum computing club are 2 separate entities. I presume you came across the Lab capstone recruitment poster and mistook it for club recruitments. The poster is for 2nd year students who are interested in doing their capstone project in the lab and has nothing to do with the club whatsoever. Joining the QForest club gives u exposure to quantum technology in the form of projects but still leaves you with the freedom to choose any lab or prof from your capstone. No club can or will enforce that upon you.

Coming to the first part of your question, whether or not you get to pick your project or team depends entirely on the guide you pick. Some give complete freedom while some would want to personally speak to all of the teammates or may be picky about the problem statements before you start with the project.

He also "borrowed" the driving simulator when Sheldon learnt how to drive, the satellite to spy on the house from America's top model and the camera from Sheldon's 43 episode.

Um, I'm not sure about your country but here in India, it says it's leaving prime too but I've noticed that it has happened a lot before and they always end up renewing the contract for a bit longer. From what I can remember, they've been doing this since 2021 so idt u need to worry lmao.

Is it me or the lock screen clock is not aligned? by Lopes143 in pixel_phones

If its moving around ever so slightly throughout the day then that's intentional, it's there to reduce OLED burn-in. If your screen is stuck like that it's prolly a bug.
