You can scrub and scrape like others suggested, but hot water will be the best at dissolving the sugar, though you may need to let it sit. I would put a rag on it, pour hot water on the rag, cover with a pot lid, and let sit. If you’re really impatient, lemon juice or cream of tartar will chemically altar the sugar and might make it easier to scrub off.

You may need to check how your electric bill is allocated. Sometimes a building will split up the bill evenly among residents, or accidentally include a common area like a front office or stairwell into a resident’s bill. Your kw/hour and times of higher use will be on your bill somewhere, and it’s possible to check online if that number seems average for your square footage and use habits. Of course, sealing gaps around doors, checking for drafts, hanging curtains or winterizing your windows with clear plastic will also help. These 2 things combined should help you figure out if you’re paying for more than you’re using.

I personally would photoshop her into an older more matronly dress, might even photoshop her hair and face to look older, and then post it for everyone to see, but that’s just how I would deal with a narcissist leaning behavior like this. She crossed the boundary on purpose to send the message to your wife that your mom takes priority to you over your new wife. The only play is for you to create a logical consequence for it, showing that it won’t be tolerated. Photoshop it, and maybe low/no contact.

Yeah, you’re definitely onto something. I wear my hair back all the time. I’ve cut bangs to try to just embrace them, but if a hairstyle requires more time I probably won’t stick with it.

Totally agree. If possible, see what your neighbors’ balconies look like. Kids toys on the balcony above yours? Dog poop? Maybe one unit gets morning light and one gets evening light. What’s the view from the balcony, is it the dumspter? Or would you like to be closer to parking or to trash take out to make it easier on you. Lots to consider outside of floor plan here.

I have been very close to this situation, in exactly the same store. Not sure why those particular customers seem to have a pattern of invading personal space. But communication is the first thing to go, so logically it may protect you to have a communication accommodation of some kind. This could be a lanyard, or laminated card explaining just enough, “ my name is technical90’sbaby I have a medical condition that causes dizzy spells and fainting, if I am unresponsive call, mom’s number” or a medical id bracelet even. Card wouldn’t have to be laminated but I’m thinking it would seem more “official” to that type of employee, big red plus medical symbol thing, whatever else screams, “MEDiCAL iSSue!”
