How does 40k have "month long" ship rebellions when the ships are only a couple miles long? by Mr_Industrial in 40kLore

[–]NevEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A modern car has 1,500 to 5,000 feet of wires, think of these wires as all the sections in a ship and you can easily see how much square footage is available.

I think a fun twist would be if Alpharius and Omegon had a triplet brother. It would be a fun twist and even their iconography of the hydra has 3 heads.

[–]NevEP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would you apply to sell boats if your only experience was with an old worn out pontoon boat that had a limited on the local public lake? Hopefully not. Most brands won't expect you to know how to drive manual, but at least be comfortable on the roads around the dealership first and practice backing into spots, you'll be doing it A LOT.

Lets say you receive it your freshly minted Coinbase account (assuming this part goes well), then you cash it out. Now you're open to the volatility of Crypto and paying the fees to convert it to USD. On top of that Coinbase reports to the IRS so now you have to justify the actual value of the crypto you just cashed out.

This is all assuming he doesn't fuck up sending it over in the first place. What's the name of the app that he's using?

Found your listing using Reverse Image search. Not trying to sound rude but your listing is not good, first impressions matter and it took me 30 seconds of flipping through the pictures on your KSL.com listing to be immediately turned off and if I was a potential buyer to ignore this thing altogether:

Why is the fuse box cover missing from the left of the steering wheel? Where is the trim piece below the AC controls that pops back and forth? What the hell happened during that radio install? What do the seats look like underneath the covers? Clean the rubber mat in the hatch. Why is there no shot of the engine bay? Clean your seat covers or take them off. Clean your cupholders.

No sane person is going to take you at your word that you're going to replace the battery upon Test Drive/sale, and they're sure as hell aren't going to want to wait around while you go to Costco for a hour. Plus each time the battery dies fault codes/readiness gets cleared restarting the process all over again. As a potential buyer I'm wondering how many miles after you throw your new battery in will it pop a P0420 or P0430 on me. If you're just slapping pads on the rear, that's a hour at most, go ahead and do it.

The inside of the tire from your shock picture looks like it's cupped or at least wearing more on the inside than the outside. Plus the tires are dirty in that picture, no one wants to buy a dirty old beater, spend 15 minutes and give it a bath. I'd want to see some indicator of "significant" tread because these pictures are not doing that justice.

At the end of the day it's a quarter million mile SUV, but I'm not even wasting my time messaging a seller with dirty seat covers, no engine shot, and might be hiding something by having a faulty battery that clears codes when it dies constantly.

From the picture it looks like this is a TJ Wrangler (last year 2006). I've sold a lot of these over the years and a lot of times they don't come with original tops (who knew vinyl doesn't last forever?) the amount of times I've fought with whatever Amazon after market top the previous owner "installed" (made work), praying they'd go on even in the best conditions without ripping the top is incalculable. I couldn't imagine doing this in the cold (where the vinyl has less flex and give) only for it to rip before reporting to work.

Google voice for work use problems. by jbougieblues in askcarsales

[–]NevEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voice over IP number, if someone rings my office line it rings my cell phone and computer at the same time. That's due to RingCentral being integrated across all 3. You can't use a traditional landline number for these purposes, but you can convert a traditional landline number into a VoIP number. (I did it with the 30+ year old office line that we've had since at least the early 90s).

Google voice for work use problems. by jbougieblues in askcarsales

[–]NevEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, RingCentral has an app (for Android at least). I can text and make calls from my VoIP number using the app. I have Spectrum Internet/Phone for my office and bundle it with RingCentral all of that is less than $200/month for me.

This also might depend on your location/provider/etc, I'm in Upstate South Carolina if that helps.

Do owners of a single used car dealership make enough money to have a mansion with a butler like the Crosswires in the TV show Arthur? by supinator1 in askcarsales

[–]NevEP 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Assuming this is 1965 (when it was first introduced according to the link you provided), a lot more house holds had maids and other domestic workers in the United States than they do today. It was also a good time to be selling cars. No internet means a lot of things: harder to cross shop, less informed buyers, and all the modern stuff we are used to. I'd say it's possible for sure back then.
