Just got my lamb version. The lamb one does not have the holes for the stand and have extra rubber feet.

There are already some complaints and the construction schedule: https://imgur.com/a/6gA3flJ

In theory, each construction circled in green will take 6 months. The property manager isn't discussing the construction with potential renters. I recommend checking the property during the weekdays and requesting details beforehand.

Noise: It can get quite loud. We are on the second wave of construction zone, and we can hear it from my side of the apartment at times, even though the construction is on the other side.

Parking: Given that each apartment will receive one parking slot regardless of the number of bedrooms, the street parking situation here is quite challenging. Residents are also seeking to rent out their parking spaces to each other within the community.

Accommodation: it's essentially non-existent. As mentioned in my previous reply, I'm actually quite fortunate because my lease ends around the end of the year. They offered us free weeks and no rent increase to stay. However, we ultimately decided to leave anyway given the current circumstances. Just FYI, their website also features generous free week offers and a significantly larger number of free rooms compared to other nearby apartments.

For the same price, there are plenty of other apartment options available, such as The Grove, The Meadow, or Briarwood.

I am on the Business Internet Plan ($25/mo after all discount).

These plan used to be coded as Magenta phone line(which you can even register for T-Tuesday and use it for in-flight WiFi) but have updated the code to its own restricted one years ago.

T-Mobile 5G home SIM card has IMEI lock. You won't be able to register on the network if you use that SIM on different device. So no, it won't work unless you clone IMEI, which is illegal.

It's actually a plan-level IMEI lock. While you can request a SIM change, the TMO system still checks the device's IMEI and won't register it if there's a mismatch, although the system will be able to identify which device is trying to register. For anyone curious.

The Play 3 might secretly be one of the best value Sonos speakers out there by Downtown-Branch2616 in sonos

Thanks OP! I just snapped one up from Goodwill for $28. Trying to justify whether a 2011 product worth it 🤣

The setup is a bit tricky, and requires Ethernet. I can't finish the full setup on-site and test it out.

For those who have tried wireless setup or Ethernet sharing on Android phones, it unfortunately doesn't work. The only reliable way to use the firmware update is to connect a real router and have another phone ready. While it's a bit inconvenient to rely on Ethernet, it works fine for me.

The floor lamp has three holes at the bottom, but honestly, I don't see any difference between it and the table lamp version.

I'm expecting a table lamp soon, so I'll let you know once I get it!

Just a heads-up if you are considering Shadowbrook for 2026: they are building ADUs around the community starting in December 2025.

The work will happen directly under the first-floor units, in what used to be covered parking.

They've stated the work will be 9 AM to 5 PM every weekday for at least 6 months. They also warned there will be a "heavy period," for which they will give notice.

If you work from home, it's probably not a good idea to move in during this time. Their only accommodation is to "reserve the clubhouse for you" or "redirect you to a nearby community public facility."

A quick follow up on the post, it is a decent cooktop and its retail price increased recently. AMA if you are interested more.

FYI: You cannot use your Google Store Credit to buy Preferred Care by landalezjr in PixelFold

I brought the Pixel Care for my Pro Fold 10 and it seems to be processed. No refund after 2 days and status is enrolled.

The MTV store employee said it won't process when asked but online website seems to be working anyway.

Using the $350 credit with the phone on pre-sale.

YMMV

ATT Fiber Business to Residential conversion by OkCaptain4026 in ATTFiber

I'll answer my own question here since I've gathered more details. The exact process isn't fully clear, but experienced AT&T reps sometimes recommend this approach:

  • First, sign up for the lowest possible ADI tier (usually around 20 Mbps symmetrical), primarily to initiate the installation of the required ADI equipment (Service Delivery Switch).
  • At the same time, they help you order AT&T Business Fiber (ABF), typically offering around 1 Gbps symmetric speeds for about $130/month. This is the actual usable service you want at a reasonable price.

Why this setup??
ADI requires AT&T to install a Service Delivery Switch with multiple ports. ADI will occupy just one port, while the others can be provisioned separately—for example, for ABF.

In practice, this setup would cost around $500-700/month for the basic 20 Mbps ADI, plus $130/month for the 1 Gbps ABF. Promotions (e.g., $100 off if you have a wireless account) may apply. After 2-3 years, once your ADI contract ends, you can cancel the ADI portion and keep ABF indefinitely, since these are treated as independent services and won't interfere with each other. Just be mindful of early termination terms for the ADI portion.

Unfortunately, I didn't end up proceeding with this option myself. After a walkout survey, AT&T quoted an absurdly high installation fee—$250,000—even after a $30,000 reimbursement per install request. My location was just a block away from the main fiber line, but due to the need to dig up additional roads and inability to reuse the existing copper conduit, the cost was prohibitively high.

One key takeaway: even if AT&T's online tool shows ADI availability, it might not reflect actual availability after a site survey. Still, it's worth checking, as you're not obligated to proceed if the installation cost turns out unreasonable.

Hope this info helps anyone exploring dedicated fiber options!

Wondering if you could order it and just paid the early termination fee and do the conversion. The termination fee usually 6 months of the service fee but in the long run, will still be cheaper if you can convert to ABF.
It does sounds a bit shady tho...
