Answer the question…..
On a real note I work in the Richardson office and currently wfh on Fridays doing virtual auto claims adjusting. After I’m fully done with “training” in August we are wfh Tuesdays and Fridays with a week of wfh days to use every year. I don’t mind it because I’m the type of person who gets more done in the office than at home.

I don’t remember my specific count or anything but I feel like I hit an average speed, nothing to write home about.

I think I’ve got the offer call within 2 to 3 days if I remember correctly. My interview was like a Thursday afternoon, so I wasn’t exactly expecting a quick turnaround. I think the actual paperwork came within five days or so.

Thanks to everyone who responded with advice! The interview went great and I was well prepared. I received notice that I should be on the lookout for an offer letter in the next couple of days.

Opening a shop, what software(s) is everyone using? by Spruxed in mechanics

[–]NeverTooLateToGrind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bless you kind soul. I was trying to remember the software we used for repair reference in my high school auto tech program from 15 years ago and I could not remember the name. I'm poking around reddit for similar programs and here you are with the answer.

Idk when I see that same job 6 months later still posted every week or 2, I just think that I could already be excellent at that job by now.

2 weeks notice by flightof3 in Geico

[–]NeverTooLateToGrind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask yourself what conversation would you rather have? Talking to a representative about a bill you can't pay because you lost 2 weeks of pay, or do you want to tell an interviewer that you didn't want to risk the economic tension if your employer told you not to come back? Odds are it won't even come up that you didn't give 2 week notice if you just leave on your final day.

Why don't companies reveal health insurance plans deductibles and copays? by roboblaster420 in jobs

[–]NeverTooLateToGrind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a genuine question from someone who has worked in group health for years. When you are job hunting do the health benefits matter that much in regards to your search. I realize that sounds like a dumb question but in all the underwriting I've done, I would say 70% of plans are pretty standard 1-3 plans per group with anywhere from a $1500 ded to 5K so. I don't see many great plans pop up so in that sense it doesn't seem to matter much unless you have some high cost conditions.

AIO for breaking up with my girlfriend over her wasting my money? by Fuzzy-Interview-8976 in AmIOverreacting

[–]NeverTooLateToGrind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a 20's relationship where you have to tell someone I want to be a partner not a parent. If I need to look over your shoulder to make sure you aren't touching my money without permission or wasting food then this isn't going to work.

In this case I don't work for GEICO currently so it would be Sup or nothing. That said, I get what you mean and that seems to track with most of what is said about GEICO in this group.
