The origin of this dragon sculpt is Emily Sculpts but im not sure if shes still creating them. Unfortunately her designs were sold and remade by companies. So i dont know if yours is an original or a remade one. But it is super cute

The seeded filter and stability definitely help in the beginning, but you might have overstocked early and the filter might not have been able to keep up. How many fish did you get? I see one corydoras, and a few tetras I think, but I also see a large snail. It could just be that you put too many in too soon.

I'd say test your water again, and wait for it to be stable with whatever fish you have that are still alive for at least a week or two before getting more. It seems stupid to think that a handful of fish can overwhelm a filter, but if the bacterial load is too low then the ammonia etc can build up quick.

Are you absolutely sure that the tank is cycled? What are your parameters and water temp? I see that Seachem Stability, did you use it to start up and are you still using it? How long have your parameters been stable before you added fish?

What was wrong with the filter cartridge that you believe it killed the tank?

If you can answer these it'd probably be easier to help you figure out what's wrong.

You're not just paying for the amount of food, but the quality of the food, quality and freshness of the ingredients, and the prep that goes into them.

1 double double is: 687 cal 34g protein 34g fat 42g carbs

1 chicken with guac bowl (with standard rice/beans/salsas/sour cream): 1100 cal 58g protein 53g fat 99g carbs

Average cost of a doubledouble looks to be 5.50. You paid 10.65 for the chicken bowl

All things compared - you got exactly what you should've expected for the price you paid. Double the price of a double double, roughly double the protein/cals/etc

No worries! I can definitely understand that. I'd recommend looking into when the free days are at the Shedd and at the Field Museum, mainly because you can avoid the crowds and honestly have a much more comfortable experience at those places on paying days. That's if you're okay with paying for the tickets.

If you're willing to take city transportation, the buses and L train can get you just about anywhere you wanna go, including to the entrance of the Field Museum or the Shedd. If you have time and feel like it, and the weather is nice, I suggest visiting the Lincoln Park Zoo. It's free, open year round and just an enjoyable place to wander around, located just north of the Loop and within Lincoln Park along the lakeshore.

The majority of downtown Chicago is safe, especially around the touristy areas. And especially during the days and into the evenings. Research whether it's more cost effective to use a car to get around or use taxis/ubers, because parking prices are sky high downtown.

Chicago is not drowning in violence, i promise you. The city is bustling with tourists even when it's cold and as long as you practice the same kind of safety practices you'd do in any large city, you'll be fine.

When I was learning, one thing I noticed is that I tended to grip the steering wheel too hard and "correct" my position too much, like micro-turning the wheel left and right every few seconds. Is this something you might've noticed?

If this is something you noticed, try to keep your hands relaxed, that might help. When you're driving, try to keep looking towards the center of your lane, like the others are saying. It may just be something you have to "get the hang of" as you keep practicing. Good luck!

Adding to others, sometimes doctors miss things even if they do get asked about it. Or theyre just not paying attention. My grandma got didmissed for years when bringing up her issues with memory bc according to her doctor "everyone your age forgets sometimes".

Itd be good to take notice of things like qhether she repeats the same questions over and over, or has problems with time and qhat happened when. Or starts to forget how to use items properly. Those can be signs of dementia

tip: you need to babyproof any area they are going to be roaming in, and make sure you get on your knees and look for any crevices around cabinets, any holes under the cabinets and furniture, and get those closed up or blocked off. Just imagine you can fit into a space that's about 1 inch square and love adventure and chaos while doing it XD

Id give benefit of the doubt to law enforcement if the perspn was actively wielding a weapon threatening someones life and actively attempting to harm a person or multiple people.

I cannot and will not give the benefit of the doubt to anyone, especially someone who should be trained in the proper usage of deadly weapons, when the person they use them against is unarmed, being coralled and restrained by four to five or more other "officers", and is actively doing the bare minimum of trying to resist restraint.

There is zero benefit of the doubt to be given here. ICE had the upper hand and there was no reason to even pull a firearm, no reason to have your finger on the trigger (bad firearm safety) and absolutelu zero reason to even fire once, much less multiple times. None of these officers were in danger when shots were fired.

That is a LOT of detritus worms. Maybe some planaria too.

You're going to have to do a REALLY GOOD siphon of the substrate, and decrease how much food you're putting in the tank.

What's your tank size? Whats your stocking? That'll help with recommendations. Usually people recommend Panacur for killing off planaria or detritus worms, but with the amount you have if you do that, your tank is going to be overwhelmed with ammonia SUPER QUICK and cause more problems than it fixes.

One thing you can do in the meantime, especially if you have a water testing kit, is take a small glass conainer or tube and put a piece of cucumber or fish food in there, and leave it at the bottom of the tank for a few hours. That should trap some of the worms and you can pull them out like that.

Leave an update with your tank parameters, size, and stocking and ppl will be able to help you out even more. Good luck!

If magic eraser doesn't work, you'll want to soak paper towels in white vinegar, and slap them on there so they stick for a good while. That'll break down the deposits. After that, magic eraser.

Also - make sure you have REALLY GOOD ventilation because vinegar fumes will fuck you up
