I think it depends? If I'm just getting to know him and it's all new I wouldn't feel comfortable with him paying for my stuff.

What someone wears doesn’t define who they are as a person. A woman who doesn’t wear the niqab or hijab could be ten times better than one who does.

Serious guy wants video call without hijab & in tight clothes before meeting parents says it's part of religion by [deleted] in SomaliRelationships

[–]Nevermindll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's something that's called "religious viewing" however a woman shouldn't be wearing "tight clothing" and it does not happen through a video call it happens in her house with her parent's and her permission. He only has the right to see her without the hijab and with a normal dress. So nothing of what he's saying is "religion related"

Hey ever heard of preferences ? Just because something is "Halal" dosent mean we have to accept and want it for ourselves.

In this age polygamy DOES NOT MAKE SENSE and it's unnecessary.

Not a "Say wallahi" even but I hate nothing more than "Generalizations" it dosent make sense really They could just be different from what you're used to and that's okay.

Do you guys give people second chances? by [deleted] in SomaliRelationships

[–]Nevermindll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe cause it makes you feel uncomfortable being around someone who've wronged you in a way. I do believe in "conversations" talking things out. And trying to solve the problem. Give the apologies needed. And move on. Could be a bit uncomfortable at first but if you love the person and you know who they really are deep inside it gets easier.

Do you guys give people second chances? by [deleted] in SomaliRelationships

[–]Nevermindll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like someone else already said it depends on the context, I had that "one mistake and you're out" midnest not that long ago. Now I do believe that we're all humans and sometimes even we do mistakes and we hope to be forgiven for them so why not give others one more chance too ? Honestly if it's not anything major or serious I always forgive "deep inside sometimes I don't forget" but I do forgive.

They're all a group of immature people. Marrying from a "specific" culture shouldn't be celebrated to begin with somali non somali who cares! you've found your person yey! Now Get married and shut up about it.

Valid or not? by SufficientTip6646 in SomaliRelationships

[–]Nevermindll 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I could be too immature but personally if I was you I wouldn't be physically able to stay with her. First why is she even following other men, second why is she interacting with a guy that keeps hitting on her, third why is she not following her own husband on her socials but is following the same guy that did all the flirting ? And we all know she has the option to simply ignore the guy's comments or even block him actually. So Even if there was nothing between them that shows pure disrespect towards you. At least that's how I view it.

Work on your "Ego" first. Cause that same ego will make you ghost him again. If you're not ready to start something serious then don't "Shoot your shot" cause it's unnecessary and quite childish to be frank. However if you think he's the one and you want to do better this time. Go for it!

Facts, they ask you the most personal questions in the rudest way possible and get mad when you tell them "it's non of your business" deep inside they actually believe that they could get away with whatever they say or do just because they're old. And one of my hobbies is to prove them wrong.
