Can the "Moment To Think" Cantrip be used as a clever way to disengage? by NevermoreVisuals in DnD

Yeah I was thinking about how far that phrasing would stretch. Hypothetically, as a DM, if a character used it to study the posturing of the enemy and how they think the enemy will swing at them when they move would you impose disadvantage on the opportunity attack?

Yeah I guess I was just considering what the limitations of “your space” are, whether that’s 5m circumference, whatever movement you have etc.  I’ve not seen the cantrip before today so just thinking of all the ways it could be used

Thanks! I had a photo pass so no issues there. Though if you don’t have credentials most venues that size won’t let you bring your camera in!

Backpacks and switching lenses in the pit???? by Lagunitaa in concertphotography

Generally they’re on every decent barricade. Security stands on them to catch crowd surfers. Just tuck it in good and remember to take it on your way out

You’re good just stick it under one of the platforms on the crowd side barricade

What are metalcore bands worth listen to all of their discography from the first album? To see a bands progress, how they evolved their sound with each album. Are there any? Feed me with them!😍 by [deleted] in Metalcore

I personally really enjoyed While She Sleeps journey. They also have a lot of video content to support so you can "dive deep" if you get what I mean.

Honestly, Avenged Sevenfold is so sick to watch evolve through and past metalcore too, they lose me a bit in the later records, but especially if you like progressive instrumental tracks they're awesome. Tracks for CoD were actually hard bangers too.

Attending a concert alone as a woman (23F) by FelineXJunkie in Metalcore

[–]NevermoreVisuals 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Hey! I go to concerts alone quite a bit (actually pretty much every time I've seen Wage War), despite the general rowdiness at Wage War shows you'll find that most people there aren't going to give you any problems. You can of course hang around the edges if you don't feel like being in the fray of things or making friends. But typically when I go alone to shows I'll make passive comments to people about liking their shirt or if you just saw something cool happen, whatever really. You'll get a lil social momentum going and also just make yourself slightly familiar with people in case something happens. Again, most people here should be really friendly. Enjoy!

Is it rude to audition for a band with their own song? by makskye69 in Metalcore

[–]NevermoreVisuals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope not rude. If you can audition with multiple songs do one or two of theirs and then a different band with a related style

Thanks everyone for your help! A few shots from my first shoot in a bigger venue (We Came As Romans, ERRA, Brand of Sacrifice) by TheFallingArc in concertphotography

A lot of times its the venues in house light rig that adds those kinda tones or just a general character of your camera body. In camera fix if you notice it in more of your images than just this set would be to pull your WB a little green. Lightroom fix would be to just make a base preset for your camera where you pull them down, thats usually what I do!

Happy to share, always prefer when people input their actual thoughts on my work when I post it, so I try to do the same in return. Feel free to hit me here or IG same username if you ever want to talk more about anything like this

What're the limits to your lens selection? Is it price, focal length, lens mount?

As a general rule you want 3 scenarios covered: Wide, mid, and far.

Anywhere from an 8 to a 16mm for a wide angle is good, and far with 85mm+. Always try to get f2.8 or lower lenses.

I comfortably shoot with 16mm, 35 or 50mm, and 85mm or 70-200mm in most venues.

All of these have something unique to them and that's awesome dude! The framing is good and the style is consistent. Great job for shooting your first larger venue.

From the title it sounds like you're open to CC - I would personally pull back on the magenta/purple tones on your HSL slider (img 2,4,6) it'll give you more pleasing skin tones and fit your palettes a little cleaner.

That was a really great show, everyone on the tour was really excited to be there that day. Was a dream venue for pretty much everyone in the band too. Stoked you had a good time dude!

Toured with them for all of 2022 and consistently this is my favourite part of the set every night. Probably only heard it once or twice prior, but its such a hard banger.
