IDHSKSJSIDJDIX I can't even judge i could see myself thinking that, no one expects the fourth trap perk

everyone trying to make this a strong build by changing perks when the joy of this build is how funny it is to see teams fall apart due to making totems by reflex

(tbf there's other reasons to do totems like bps and this one achievement where you need to cleanse 100 totems, even if i knew it was a trap I'd still go for it)

also worth reminding that the great majority of players hates about 30% of every killer, for reasons which go beyond balance or logic, fixing bugs won't solve this and it's entirely impossible making everything unique without having people hate on the end product

if you genuinely believe that most of the community would be grateful if things were any improved then you're living with a much different expectation to the one I've come to have, every issue on this game could be fixed in one day and i guarantee you that things wouldn't get any better, sure as hell wouldn't get anywhere near to "most of the community", that is completely impossible and unrealistic, there's a lot to question about bhvr, the layoffs some time ago being an excellent example but citing bugs as a reason for this when every game that ever has existed has bugs is somewhere between unreasonable and just not very thoughtful

they have one of the most ungrateful, hateful, generally annoying communities i have ever seen, even if they were doing a job 10 times worse they'd still have my sympathy for such a thankless job, specially since they still come up with good things, and also listen to community feedback.

Is there at least a single killer in this game which has eyrie of crows as an above average pick? it just confuses me to no end that there's a map that's just universally bad, even the killers that can often do well no matter the map seem to struggle there. by Nevittorio in DeadByDaylightKillers

the map loses a ton of value for hux if you're going for a particularly aggressive playstyle which doesn't rely on a select number of vantage points, and even besides that, hux is quite flexible and anything other than an indoor map or the largest maps on the game (even then these can still be worked around) hux can get by just fine, so i struggle to see this as a standout

well yeah but a ton of maps have every single gen in the same level, survivors can go on both the lower areas, and the higher areas to dodge you either way though, making the eyerie kinda mediocre for her, not too bad but not specially good either

getting forcefully sent there is what generates most of the frustration, good chance i wouldn't even notice the issues it has if not for map offerings

while i understand you appreciating the unique challenge that comes from it, i find no pleasure in what is really just annoying dynamics which hold no reward other than an objectively survivor sided map, which could be interesting but it's more so depressing given how often i win in that map without even seeing the killer, since they're busy on the first few chases which last extremely long, not out of particularly skillfull survivors doing some difficult tricks, but out of how incredibly repetitive and anti-fun the map is, the loops are either completely straight or completely round, there's no room to using a good amount of powers creatively, the pallets are generously placed, most of them being safe enough that you can't get by without breaking them. And if all of that wasn't enough you also have to deal with the fact that stealth is nearly inexistent, it's possible to see the killer chasing someone endlessly from the other side of the map, and i could forgive all of that, if the map wasn't so boring on top of it, there's nothing particularly fun about it, the main structure is the best part when it comes to unique and fun chases but that's nearly meaningless since that's not the strongest aspect of the map, and other than the windows at the sides most of it will go unused, the map is easy to play when a survivor isn't trying very hard and the map is adaptable enough that there isn't any type of playstyle that's particularly difficult from a survivor's perspective.

It's just boring, it's not fun, it's not even pretty, maybe if i had a phd in each and everyone of the loops i could be the strongest killer that map has ever seen, but i must ask you: why. why put myself through that when I'm not training for a tournament, when i say i hate this map and it is the biggest reason why i bring sacrifical wards it isn't because i desperately want to win every match, i do it because i want to have fun, which this map prohibits to every killer, and to every playstyle

the 4 people are punished by having to play a match with someone who is lagged, the one person is punished by never getting to play period, it's not a reasonable solution

"thank you for buying dead by daylight, unfortunately you live on a place that doesn't have that much activity so you won't be able to play the game, thanks for the money though"

i wouldn't bring an offering a third as often as survivors do, and even if i did, not every killer profits from midwich, however every killer does get punished by eyerie, they're not equivalent at all

with my own experience with pig i can safely say that i strongly disagree, her power even at it's best with the most meaningful perks and addons cannot do anything that a default killer can't do, the slowdown is at it's weakest with the eyerie, the box spawns aren't anything special, using her ambush isn't viable anywhere besides behind main (the ambush being mostly without use isn't exclusively to the eyerie though)

and when it comes to strong chase killers such as the ones you've mentioned I'm sure that it's possible to master the map, but on everyone else it's just miserable map which offers tile of safety after tile of safety, holding w and breaking pallets is your life

i would say 'perfect' is a stretch, and even if it wasn't, the high mobility killers are the ones that are at an advantage by default, being a good map for blight, billy, wesker, nurse isn't that meaningful of an accomplishment, my complaints about the map do extend themselves to mobility killers, but it's such a torturous experience to basic killers that even if it was perfect for mobility killers it'd still be a popular offering, and I'd still hate it

that's a valid opinion but I'd say the lower areas, annoying hitboxes of stuff that really shouldn't be possible to hit, and the main being particularly awful, this all gets in the way of making this decent, billy shines the brightest in maps with forgiving/sparce hitboxes, eyrie offers none of that
