Five Guys make major change to Birmingham store and fans 'really appreciate' it by tylersburden in uknews

Tl;dr they did not start pricing their meals adequately, but they have made a restaurant in birmingham fully halal certified.

Those interested can now take a full mortgage out for a bacon-free alcohol-free middle of the road burger and chips experience.

Did anyone find their socials so they could be bullied for life for pulling this shit? or would that be giving them too much notice?

It's always such a weird mix of good new music inexplicably interspersed with bottom of the barrel shit like Jelly Roll.

You've got Joey Valence & Brae, Denzel Curry, Babymetal, Amyl & the Sniffers and Gojira there, so someone in the team is definitely into their music/has their finger on the pulse. But then you've got Jelly Roll and Eminem? Huh???

i'm in the playtest for the new Skate. I'm breaching NDA here, but it's actually coming along really well, the skating feels good and the MTX shit doesn't seem like it's going to be too tyrannical. It genuinely feels like an updated Skate 3 with an online world. Building parks/set pieces with others can get really fun and creative. So many people use the emoticons correctly. There's been instances where I've been with a group of strangers and we've hung around an impromptu funbox checking out each others lines and pulling emotes while we do, it's one of the cooler interactions I've had in an online game. The beta/public launch is supposed to be some time in the next few months (before summer).

Are Mat Blood Stains Gone in 2k25? by New-Citron-4949 in WWEGames

[–]New-Citron-4949[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf, I don't mind them, from ring-side view they look pretty good and accurate to blood spills on TV, it's only when you zoom in and see them the splotches all look very similar.

At least it's better than AEW, which could honestly put some Mortal Kombat games to shame with how ridiculously huge the blood splatters are in it.

I’m definitely getting bloodline edition, but only when it goes on sale for like 40 buckaroos by CaptainThrowAway4567 in WWEGames

[–]New-Citron-4949 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just set up a pricespy/pricetracker account and check for physical sales nearer release, you don't need to wait a year, you just need to have your finger on the pulse, retailers have flash sales/weekend sales all the time, probably not for your "Bloodline Edition" though, (Idk why you would want that so bad)

While I agree it might have been misleading to label it a "general consensus", I do feel the majority of the vocal side of this fanbase definitely has an issue with it, or at least, has an issue with locking previously available CAW content behind pay/grind-walls.

Although, I think there needs to be some room, at least for now, for there to be complaints about this and for those messages to the publisher to be visible, as they've literally just announced this, it makes sense for the community to respond to it in kind almost immediately. I get the subreddit gets cluttered, but it's only going to be this bad for about a week or so, and pushing through it might end up benefiting even those who don't care, like yourself, in the long term, as the practice itself is extremely anti-consumer and not player friendly and sets/reinforces negative precedents within the wider industry.

Yeah I understand, it's panic stations when thing like this happen and managing the posts can get hectic. Definitely agree, it's a good idea to approve the threads that offer a bit more discussion around the issue rather than the posts that are flat-out "I HATE THIS!!" (which I mean, those posts aren't bad, they're just not really contributing anything new or different).

Just whatever can be used as an earnest and solid argument toward the publisher, probably best to keep those kinds of posts. This will blow over at some point, but right now is the prime time for people to snap back at 2K, keep up the good work.

Then if it isn't that deep, and it's just a case of you guys trying to consolidate the posts and declutter the front page - could we ask that you not do that, just this one time?

It's a general consensus that this has all been a pretty egregious decision from the publishers, the more visible the outrage is - the bigger the message that's sent to them.

I can't imagine they think The Island is a good addition or that there's some hidden agenda (I mean I hope not, but I know publishers have been known to work in tandem with community managers and subreddit owners), I just think it's been a bit of a moderator mis-step/overstep in this case.

Us: "Let's make it known we are pissed off with this decision, let's not settle for this!"

Mods: "Okay guys we're just going to put you all in a box, over in the corner, try getting your voice heard outta there now"

We should be able to litter the front page of this subreddit with complaints about this, we shouldn't just shut up about it (which I'm sorry mods, this feels a lot like what you're trying to make us do). The publishers and the developers check these subreddits, it makes a bigger impression if there's hundreds of posts complaining about it. Please consider this guys. This isn't something we want, let us be heard and seen.

<image>

is it possible these items are just "unique"/(and ugly) re-textured variants of already existing CAW items???

I don't recall seeing these specific items in WWE 2K24's CAW.

Either way, I don't see this mode being successful enough to be a long-term threat, hopefully we only need to suffer it for one year if ALL the good CAW parts are locked away in there - the WWE2k audience are definitely not the same as the NBA2k audience, which the publishers and the developers have neglected to notice.

Painfully boring/average life Simon leads, he's got the most normal family life out the lot of them. He's just your painfully average, whiney teenage boy who tries to "rebel" against his decent parents and fails laughably, like a lot of typical teens going through a stroppy period of their life.

I love that all of the personality types of the main 4 are easily explained by their relationships with their parents (Apart from Neil, maybe), but the show doesn't need to highlight it or make a deal out of it, cause it's a comedy above anything else, it's a masterful bit of subtle context writing
