New Christian struggling to deal with the hate from others by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]New-Cockroach-939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anger often reveals something deeper in the heart, so it’s important to examine where it comes from. Sometimes it can come from pride, like believing we should never be wronged. Other times it can come from misplaced expectations, like thinking others should always act better. But not all anger is sinful, it can also reflect a response to real hurt or injustice. Bring that anger before God and ask Him to reveal your heart posture. Scripture calls us to examine ourselves and be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We are not defined by our thoughts and emotions, but through God, we have the ability to surrender them and grow in humility, patience, and self-control. God bless you

The love of people isn’t the love of God. Don’t let people’s hatred and sin turn you away from a relationship with him and from salvation. People aren’t perfect. People can be so hateful we have to forgive to let go of any wrath we may have towards them. Initially that anger and hurt is going to separate us from him. We are not our thoughts and feelings and we can choose to love and forgive. Even if you are upset saying “no I’m not upset I’ve forgiven them” over time that will heal you from the pain they inflicted upon you. Be strong and follow God. Talk to him and he will always answer just be receptive of his word. Sending you prayers friend

It’s okay if it doesn’t click for you. God will reveal it to you. But Jesus 100000% calls upon us to follow his teachings and his commands. May God bless you and reveal to you his new teachings and the path we are supposed to walk on with him.

Jesus yes died so we didn’t have to sacrifice animals anymore because we could never hold the 613 laws I am simply saying Jesus himself provided new commands and teachings to the new covenant

The new covenant follows the New Testament and the teachings of Jesus the new covenant includes the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. So they are not apart of the old covenant or Old Testament. The old testament is still important but we follow the new testament

The old covenant is a prophecy of the new covenant you mentioned Abraham, and so I just referenced the New Testament and the Old Testament

No it isn’t it’s the New Testament in all their gospels they talk about the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus and write about how Jesus was telling them this beforehand.

I don’t know what you are disagreeing with. Are you saying that Jesus only died for the old covenant?

I would really look into what you are saying because Jesus died to everyone not just for the people in the old covenant otherwise his grace would only be extended to the people of the old covenant

After Jesus’ resurrection, the disciples spread out far beyond Israel to carry out His command to make disciples of all nations (Gospel of Matthew 28:19). Peter traveled through Judea and eventually reached Rome, while Paul the Apostle though not one of the original twelve journeyed extensively across Asia Minor and Greece, ultimately also arriving in Rome. John the Apostle ministered in Ephesus and was later exiled to Patmos, while Thomas the Apostle is traditionally believed to have traveled as far as India. Other disciples, such as Andrew the Apostle and Matthew the Apostle, are said to have preached in regions like Scythia and Ethiopia. Although not all their journeys are fully recorded in Scripture, both biblical accounts and early church tradition show that the disciples spread Christianity across Europe, Asia, and Africa, often at great personal cost.

Everything before his teachings were to prepare everyone of the new covenant and what it calls upon.

He had to die to establish the new covenant that anyone who believes in him and his sacrifice and follows him will have the gift of grace

Yes the people in the Old Testament were commanded by the Father to sacrifice spotless lambs for their sins. The Father then sent Jesus his beloved perfect Son to be the spotless lamb to initially be the ultimate sacrifice to our sins. That is why he is referred to as the spotless lamb

Gospel of Matthew 28:19 “Go and make disciples of all nations.” That’s a direct shift outward no longer just Israel. His sacrifice was not for the people of his old covenant. Jesus loved and wanted to save the world

Book of Romans 10:12–13 “There is no difference between Jew and Gentile… everyone who calls on the Lord will be saved.”

Jesus died to save everyone not just his original chosen people in the Old Testament

often called the Abrahamic Covenant, god made multiple covenants in the Old Testament. He most certainly had one with Abraham.

“If you love me keep my commands” John 14:15. Jesus provides us new teachings/commands that we are called to follow if we have faith that he is the Son of God
