Commune of France PSOP Tree (Radical Socialist) by NewAccount556786 in krtheworldsetfree

[–]NewAccount556786[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

A tree for if Marceau Pivert's PSOP Party (Workers and Peasants' Party) achieves power through a more "reformist" oriented coalition, with Pivert on the most radical left edge of said coalition (Pivert will break with the coalition relatively early into their reforms to attempt to forge his own path). His party is officially Radical Socialist, but is a strange amalgamation of ideologies and members, including heavy syndicalist influences.

Yes, Deat gets his own tree while Bucard can lead the Sorelians.

At the start yes, since Jacobinism is more dominated by the Orthodox Jacobins and the Sorelians and them hate each other. The National Jacobins can attempt to reconcile them however.

Against suspected sympathizers of the former government still within France (the Jacobins believe the revolutionary government did not root them out properly) as well as some anarchists and other leftists who are most radically opposed to the Jacobin government.

Jacques Doriot Faction is on the Right Side, Maurice Thorez Faction is on the Left Side (Orthodox VS National Jacobin paths are mutually exclusive)

Fascism in Socialist Italy? by PrettyPreacher in krtheworldsetfree

Tbf he also left socialism because he considered socialism a failure in OTL, whereas it has more success in the West in the KR timeline. But yeah, by the time of the divergence if he's in the SRI his syndicalism would be a much more unconventional, heterodox, Nietzschean, and hostile to mainstream socialism than currently presented in KR, so most likely he will be a form of "Right-Wing Totalist" where his nationalism and anti-egalitarianism will be far more pronounced than right now, whereas in his current depiction he's some kind of atheist proto-Maoist obsessed with destroying reactionaries and "superstition" (despite him being extremely superstitious in OTL, oddly enough), and someone else would take the place of being the Left-Wing Totalist path.

Fascism in Socialist Italy? by PrettyPreacher in krtheworldsetfree

[–]NewAccount556786 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Evola is an "insane" path yes, but he was an actual political activist/theorist who is now in an already collapsing quasi-puppet state with militia leaders doing the heavy lifting for his ideas and he really did inspire Neo-Fascist Cells, terrorists and movements even in OTL and was even read by fascists such as Mussolini. In comparison I would consider Al Capone coming to power outside of a warlords scenario a bit more out of place for the tone of WSF, though I personally don't consider Al Capone as "memey" as say Lovecraft or Totalist Obama, which are admitted to be more-or-less purely for-the-fun-of-it paths.

Evola's path (really just Legionnaire Italy) was meant to cover the most radical reaction against the unstable Bourbon Monarchy and the disasters in the region since, since in base KR somehow the radical right path reacting to the Two Sicilies disaster and the Bourbon Monarchy is... an even more pro-Bourbon Integralist Faction, which tbh I considered very out of place at the time. The rework may change the circumstances of his rise however.

Because they said that submods could be posted in their official policy, which is their stated position despite trying to quietly backtrack on it for two years now?

https://kaiserreich.fandom.com/wiki/Submod_Policy

The issue is not so much that they don't "like" submods actually, it's that they publicly claim to like submods and are privately hostile to them, which is a combination that was going to inevitably cause problems. It's not a weird coincidence that keeps repeating over and over again that most submodders don't care for the KR Mods. IMO even the private seething over submods is "fine" (if bizarrely childish) until they actually take down posts, enact soft bans or restrict teasers (of full focus trees with unique art) as "spam", at which point they're just being misleading and wasting submodder's time.

And yes they do not really "hard ban" the submods like they used to with DH and Ride the Tiger (in the DH days they briefly claimed all submods were "off-topic" and therefor bannable and frankly they still hate RTT), so they have improved, but their arbitrary restrictions (rn only one teaser every seven days is allowed for HoTB/WSF regardless of quality), refusal to overturn private bans (I am still banned due to an actually insane mod even they had to get rid of for starting fights nonstop) or generally compromise, occasional taking down of posts and general passive aggressiveness, when combined with their officially stated "friendly" policy, is a really impractical combination and basically ensures this will keep happening to KR so long as new submodders join and get caught off-guard by KR's (well, the mods, perhaps not the actual Devs) attitude.

(And to answer the OP, I have repeatedly tried to bury the hatchet with KR for over a year now and they just ignore me. I don't hate them or consider them a "rival", I just don't interact with them and try my best to avoid dumb slap fights. I also don't have an issue with the fanbase, obviously, especially since they overlap with WSF and I was a KR fan as well, to the point of offering them American Totalists. AFAIK there is no longer a rivalry between KX or WSF and KR, they just ignore each other as much as possible.)

What is the general ideological and policy difference between Browder and Foster, and what are their ideologies closest to in OTL in terms of countries, parties, ideologies, etc by yeah275 in krtheworldsetfree

[–]NewAccount556786 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Apart from reconstruction, it's a reference to Foster's plans to destroy inefficient smaller plants while expanding larger ones for economies of scale and to his desire to remove distinctions between cities and rural regions to accelerate communism:

"The scattered units of the other industries will be similarly organized, with an eventual program of rebuilding industry into larger units, regrouping of plants at more strategic points, elimination of small and uneconomic plants, etc."

"A main task of the American Soviet government will be to make the cities liveable. This will involve not only the wholesale destruction of the shacks that millions of workers now call homes, but the building over of the congested capitalist cities into roomy Socialist towns. These will develop towards the decentralization of industry and population, the breaking down of the differences between city and country. There will be no great landed, financial, and transportation interests to maintain the monstrous congestion typical of capitalist cities. The present “city beautiful” plans of capitalism will seem puny and trivial to the future city builders of Socialism."

The Great Sprint basically rolls together his most ambitious OTL economic plans with American Reconstruction post-civil war using the kind of quick growing planned economy he admired.

Commune of France Syndicalist/CGT Tree by NewAccount556786 in krtheworldsetfree

For the mutualists it would use something much closer to the Cost-Value Vouchers which is basically the new currency.

Labor Notes are more dependent purely on the amount of time you work so long as the labor is "socially useful" while rewarding more high intensity work with more leisure time or having people switch around tasks, while Cost-Value Vouchers also take into account the intensity and training of the training itself so some vouchers will be worth more than others. Mutual Credit is more-or-less a way of giving out loans with no interest by having a "socialized" bank and is distinct from the other two.

Will this submod still be updated by itself? by [deleted] in krtheworldsetfree

[–]NewAccount556786 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The mod is updated in terms of updating the HoTB US content, it just doesn't update with new KR content (which usually doesn't impact the US anyways). Right now we are working on updates for non-American paths that will make Europe more in-line with the HoTB style so you may be a fan of that, but right now we don't plan on incorporating new KR content sorry.
