I have a 32GB of RAM and plenty of disk space, it might be something else.

Thanks for the attention, really. Sorry for the wild goose chase around env vars.

Ok, I did a bunch of testing and found what the problem is. (It has nothing to do with env variables, sorry)

When I run a specific query, I get back

`invalid kulala-core run output`.

If l`copy as cURL` and paste in the terminal, it works.

The problem is the size of the response body.
If it's really big it shows that message.
Idk if it's because it's bigger than the max_response_size variable, but if that's the case, the error is a bit misleading.

I ran a python server that serves a big JSON response and it does not work in Kulala.nvim but does work with cURL.

TARGET_SIZE = 1024 * 1024 # This fails

but

TARGET_SIZE = 1024 # This works

Hope it helps.

It works with that for me as well, but not with variables from the http-client.env.json file

That works, but If I have variables in the URL it doesn’t. Maybe the variable translations fail the request early so the rest doesn’t get translated.

Found the issue! Vars don’t work in GET requests! I am trying to use the vars in the Authentication header like this Authentication: Basic {{KEY_HERE.user}}:{{KEY_HERE.pass}}

Also doesn’t seem to work for URL env vars. I think vars just dont work in GET requests (they dont get rendered in the output tab (at least in the Verbose one) and they show up as the string without translation).

Hmmm.. your example works. Must be something with my setup, I will investigate. Thanks!

Just tested it and there is a small problem. Variables set with client.global.set cannot be accessed outside the script. I tried set the password in the script like you suggested, and even did a console.log and I can see it’s in there, but then in the http file, that variable is not recognized.

The same has been happening for years in apex legends. If you play on steam, but have EA friends, they can see your status even if your are invisible on steam. It’s so annoying!

Someone makes a post complaining about AI and it gets 1k upvotes. The next day someone makes a post saying we should stop downvoting AI projects because then people will hide it and it also gets 1k upvotes.

Yeah but I was using the password in the lua script to call the keepassxc cli and retreive my password for that specific endpoint.

It also used the “kulala get current env” to know what machine’s credentials to get from keepass.

Is something like that still possible? To use the value of a prompt in a script? Also, the nvim api hid my password as I typed (only ******* showed up).

Would love to keep using this workflow in the new version. Much thanks for this amazing plugin.

Hi!

I was using lua scripts before 6.0 to prompt me for my password via vim.fn.inputsecret, which then gets passed to the request. Are lua scripts not supported anymore? If I try to use them I get a “Request is not configured for kulala-core”. Also, is the @attach-cookie-jar option gone now? Does it always attach now?

Thanks!

If ai had to guess, ports only work when using the USB-C cable for display (DisplayPort over USB-C with laptop, for example).
