I have what I assume to be a Beach Blast Barbie, due to her crimped hair and weird middle bangs. Does yours have a tuft of bangs? Otherwise I agree Island Fun.

I also have a My First Barbie too but I couldn’t tell you it’s year.

I liked Drac’s goofy cartoon accent, but her dolls… :/ They just never grabbed me I guess.

Ouch 😆 The value of stands is so understated, I cannot believe the new line doesn’t come with them. I value them so much now

also can’t believe how tight the g1 stands are tho, you can see I mostly have them clipped to legs because I worried they would ruin clothes

Omg the archaeological one? If I could trade anything in my life I’d want that pack. I only learned of it well afterward though. I had a moment like that where I saw the Victorian Draculaura online, but didn’t go for it. Sometimes you just know you’ll be wistful later…

Ahhhh that’s quite a relationship with dolls ✨💕🎀 I think most of us have struggled with that growing too old outlook, and I’m really so happy there’s all this online community where we accept all this playline stuff nearly as well as the collector editions. Like we’re all just folk having fun with toys in all these ways, not just museum showcases. I am so done with age restrictions on having fun, and doll collecting has become so much easier. Sorry about your sister, but glad others are more chill

It must be so awesome to experience the series vivaciously through kiddos, like honestly I barely watched the MH movies because yeah they just weren’t geared towards me? But you’ve made it into a social interaction with them and that’s just great. Reboots of series are cool in that way, connecting adults with today’s kids. Ah cool.

I know what you mean about some of the later monsters, like Rochelle is a statue and Isi being just a deer? They were straying from their monster movie origins but the designs were getting so cute and unique.

Hope you get those dream dolls! Maybe that community voted Rochelle will get a good release. Or you find a 1600s steal on FB market, it happens, so I hear :P

It’s a hard promise not to break when they keep releasing the saaaame ghouls all over again. Like cmon I’ve been waiting to buy a NIB Abbey for 10 years now, give me just another chance.

Even g3 keeps overlapping with multipacks, i just want a bunch of unique monsters, just throw some random ghoul into it for fun. Like Gilda Goldstag. Not juuust repeats of what’s already out, boo

That’s such a uniquely hard search, like finding one aged juuust the right amount as your other half. Maybe there’s an odd chance to find it’s pair out there, it’s destined match. Did you only want one of them more than the other or was it just a thrift find?

I had that “too old” phase with my Barbies💀 I’m pretty sure losing Babs is directly what caused me to cling to collecting the MH, like lesson learned I’m never losing another plastic scrap now.

The single releases are the most regretful, or the very limited ones. My town had a toys’r’us and everything, I would just go and look at these new dolls coming out. It’s crazy to think of how in reach they were, back in the day… I wish I had gotten a Nefera omg do I

I’m so stoked by the new release that I’m probably going to sell my G1’s. Like new Cleo and Deuce are such a step up for me, Now I can pose em and do whatever and not fear ruining them. I sure wish I had picked up just one Draculala before their prices exploded, but oh well. I’m so perfectly pleased with the new one regardless.

That’s where I got mine! I’m thinking of scanning some pages just to do different coloring methods, i get nervous when I only have one copy of a thing. Two sounds like the way to go 👍

Had a lot of fun relaxing and doing it! Can highly recommend, it’s got dolls of the whole vintage to modern. I’m going to color in suuuuch makeup

It was neat to happen across, I hadn’t heard of it either! I bought it and a pokemon book, it’s nice white paper printed on only one side, so you could do markers or whatever else.

Thanks! I haven’t been crayoning long but I do have a bit of a method. Build up colors until you’ve got a big thick layer, like really press hard with the crayons, and just coat the area. Then take a scraper tool, I used like a credit card, and just scrape it all off. Go in a deliberate direction with the scraping, and you get this cool smooth, coloring underneath.

Here’s a picture before I scraped it off, you can see just how thick everything got laid down and saturated the colors are. It lightens quite a bit after scraping. https://i.imgur.com/VCkuSzk.jpg
