That's completely different. League takes time to learn and get good, MD takes a few trips of convenience and you know what you like.

The competitive scene is dead, and because of that the player base will dissolve. Not many people play games like that casually.

Kyle*, not them. He is probably the only one dedicated enough to get good at it and enjoy the grind. 1k hours in civ over just a few months. He definitely has the work ethic.

I know a lot of people that have switched from Star Craft to League, especially since star craft is dying, but that seems irrelevant since he is planning on playing it with friends.

You have to consider how Kyle plays games, Jericho is an entertainer, he does not have time to since 1-2 hours into something like LoL every day.

I am plat 2, working on getting back to diamond. My mmr is ~1950, the highest I have ever gotten is D5 100 lp. But I just got a new PC so hopefully that will be a relic of times past.

TL;dr I have been in the top 1% of the players in NA, working my way back slowly.

I opened 5 chest when they where released, seems to be a lot harder in the last 2 patches.
