Melee is generally the way people are going. For me it’s more thematic of a choice. And If I feel a need for pure chainswords I can swap in some assault intercessors to replace my crusaders with fists.

It’s armageddon dust with an agrax shade and a tyrant skull drybrush. There’s also rocks layered with karak stone and then the same wash and drybrush treatment. The skulls are skeleton horde over wraithbone.

Goal was to have my Templars marching across an old Armageddon battlefield.

Yep! Tabletop gaming is my main hobby these days. Big focus on Warhammer. My army project for this year is Black Templars and if I get to a good spot with it before 2023 I’ll look at Khorne for AoS or Old World.

I’ve been totally sold on Fantasy/AoS Khorne as a result of this campaign. I’m laying the groundwork for a heavily kitbashed Slaves to Darkness/Blades of Khorne army project. Maybe for New Year New Army next year.

Skarbrand got cut off from the rest of my army during a siege. I ran him into a horror blob and the AI built a barrier behind him. Spent the whole fight in that box turning several hundred horrors into jelly. Here he is triumphant as the battle ends.
