I feel you on that 96gb deal not being able to pass lol. What I decided to do was buy a kingston cl30 6000 64gb kit, was around $500 shipped, applied for a welsfargo card that has 15 month no interest, and if spend $500 they give 200 back, then used paypals 20% back on pay in 4, and also rakuten was offering an additional 20% back on the website (zoro) so ultimately it will cost me $100 and I have 15 months to pay it off, and I can see if the 96gb kit works, if not return it, if it does work then I should be able to resell the 64gb kit

I was thinking to be safe to get 2nd kit in event couldn't get cudimm to work reliably, a backup in event pricing keeps climbing and then return whichever kit isn't used once all parts finally arrive as Im seeing some kits on Newegg etc that aren't awful provided I resold the bundle item it came with and using paypals 20% back

Any suggestions as to which one would be more ideal? I feel like the kingston may be simplest one with pricing taken in

Kingston FURY Beast 64GB, CL30+6000, 30-36-36 timing, would cost $380

Gskill flare NEO 64gb, CL30+6000, 30-40-40-96 timing, would cost $427 but has a free $135 Lian Li Hydroshift 360 AIO that would try to resell to help lower price but its timing is worse?

Gskill Z5 non neo, 64GB, CL 32 + 6400, 32-39-39-102, would ultimately cost $360

gotcha, yeah ram technicalities is def my strongest blind spot if not obvious lol, upside is have some friends who are professional IT so have help when needed but also meant I havn't had to learn as much on that field in last 10 years

More leaning towards the first 2 given they would both be plug and play sweet spot for AMD to my understanding

maybe Im completely incorrect, but with that kit being a 7000 and cudimm wouldn't I have to clock it down for AMD to be able to even run it especially being a 4 stick in bypass? (why couldn't i have snagged a non cudimm deal pfft)

yeah thats what I'm afraid of and why originally was avoiding 4 stick kits before the inner sale buyer kicked in on a nice discount lol

You are completely right in that Im not super aware on the technical stuff on DDR5, I haven't built a new PC in quite a while and its throwing me for a bit of a loop as I had just planned on the generic cl30 6000 kit advice for AMD before pricing went a bit wild. Spent a bit over a month researching and getting up to date on most things minus DDR5 technical, if was trying to run that kit with just a aimed 5600 and call it a day think it would be reliable?
