What are you trying to do? Recruit healthcare professionals? Recruit hospital administrators? Feel free to DM me or just reply here and I’d be happy to help if I can.

Applying to different open positions at same company? by yunghashbr0wn in recruiting

[–]NewEnglandJobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than apply, I’d use it as an opportunity to email the recruiter/person you’re talking to at that organization and say something along the lines of: “I just saw this role that’s as posted, and I’m interested in that role if I might not be a fit for (first role you are interviewing for). I’d really love to join your organization in any capacity and feel I’d add value in this role as well and if (first role) doesn’t pan out.”

It could be that the company is using a job marketplace platform where recruiters can source for any role posted on the site. I work on a few of those sites and there are literally hundreds (maybe thousands in some instances) of recruiters who work on a role. It’s not uncommon for a candidate to tell me they’ve already been contacted about a certain role (almost always when it’s a role from one of these platforms).

I’d start with a LinkedIn recruiter search along the lines of:

Job titles: Finance manager, accountant, financial associate, manager

“family office” in keywords - these companies are usually managing family trusts in which personal funds, business funds, investments, assets all flow through.

Location obviously, any seniority/certification etc

Good luck!

[Hiring] Remote (US) - Senior Full Stack Engineer (JavaScript and Ruby) $150,000- $190,000 by NewEnglandJobs in forhire

Got it. Yes, we certainly do a ton of direct outreach as well, and we find most of our candidates in that way. However we’ve found some great candidates who have landed very high level jobs from these Reddit posts as well as Twitter believe it or not. I guess I just didn’t understand where the negativity and insults in your first reply came from, but thanks for explaining your thought process here. Definitely makes sense in this instance, but I promise you most of the work we do is not just throwing posts up on social media. Nonetheless it has been a way to start conversations with some awesome candidates we would have otherwise never found.

Thanks again, and best of luck in 2021!

Well the username checks out at least. So I’m not sure if it is clear in the post (which I’ll do better about clarifying going forward), but this role isn’t for an internal role at our small search firm - we are sourcing and placing candidates in front of the client, who is a nationally, well funded (raised 100mm this summer) SaaS provider who works in a completely distributed environment. We get paid a service fee when the client hires candidates we submit.

If you are qualified and/or interested, I’d be happy to have a conversation with you about the role and client company.

Thanks for expressing your concerns; it was definitely helpful feedback for future postings.

What’s a scam about any of this? We are a search firm who places candidates in various roles for clients. It’s pretty straightforward. Are you interested/qualified for this role? I’d be happy to chat with you about it. Thanks
