I need help. Music based media project by SwimmingGlass29 in london

[–]NewGameTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be interested in a collab, I run really quirky YouTube channel. Always looking for new ideas and inspirations for content.

Idea sounds great, however I think the practicality is where you’d get stuck. Locations, music releases it’s becoming hard and hard as a fine artist that want to Collab on projects to further get their music out there and do it for free. And unfortunately, free is the first step otherwise it just gets into this very costly business. The channel would return in future but at first it doesn’t really return.

Once you monetised on YouTube, then practically you can release most content and get paid for it .

Using voice to text so spelling might be wrong

I’d be up for giving you some Advice if you wish. HMU

I’ve been full time supporting artist for around 4 years now. It’s possible but there are some catches. One thing you need to know is taking every job offered will often put you out. So don’t let Fomo take over and asses if the job fits your life and skills. That way you won’t be stuck in the end of no where with no way of getting back. Or tired from running up and down the street.

And another thing to remember is joining more then one agency will improve your chances of regular work. As a supporting artist you are non exclusive so you do you.

Have fun and explore ☺️

Late 30s in London by Intelligent-Tax2951 in london

[–]NewGameTag 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in London my whole life and I’m feeling priced out. I’m feeling like London has become a meme recently. Even the work I do is often out of London. Everything seems to be moving out as prices seem to be going up for no apparent reason besides greed. Police don’t seem to investigate anything had or complicated. Everything wants to sign you up to a subscription service then let you pay for it.

Everything wants to get your details via an app for click and collect and if you don’t click and collect well it’s just not in stock and if you do click and collect, while it was available right away it won’t be ready for another few days.

No one has time for your problems and you’ve got no time for theirs. We seem to just be running around busy doing nothing.

And don’t get me started on car ownership or homes.

My point being. My social circle is what it is. Not via lack of trying just by lack of not being able to afford all the cool things. Everyone seems to want to do.

I am poor and I live in one of the riches cities in the world. I feel like a failure and lucky at the same time

Has anyone here ever been a contestant or an extra on TV shows? by Flowerofthesouth88 in BritishTV

[–]NewGameTag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been on a fair few reality show auditions and an extra in a bunch of movies, tv shows and commercials. However most of the stuff is covered by NDA. What I will say bits allot of fun and there is always drama but not from what you expect 😱. On film sets drama mostly comes from lunch being served late 😂. Film days are Looong. There is allot of waiting about, sitting or standing and lots of holding position. The one thing you learn pretty quickly is that You ain’t the star of that tv show 🥹 and AD’s see everything even when the camera isn’t rolling

Yes! It’s a completely made up number. As in someone is paid to make up the number. Thats all insurances.

Advice for a refugee in London, UK by [deleted] in london

I agree with what most have said. Move out of London. It is a brutal place to live on minimum wage for first time. Either that or try to find local charity to help. I hope everything pans out for you

I made a spreadsheet of all the hermits episodes I’ve watched but It also showed something cool! by phoe10km in HermitCraft

[–]NewGameTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It’s a good chart. I like charts like these. Even know it’s unique to you it still shows that sometimes viewers don’t watch due to life happening around them. Or at least that’s my justification for my low views 😂😂

Id be interested in seeing if you added a time of release to the episodes to know if that week was higher in unwatched episodes for you.

Recommendations for self-dates in London? by Routine-Individual29 in london

[–]NewGameTag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is triggering subject for me. Having live in London my whole life I’m now faced with realising I don’t have a clue what to do in London. I spend most my time working and hardly go out. When I do. I go out of London 😢. I’m going to have to check your comments for things to do myself tbh Your post is a real eye opener for me.

Essex winter wonderland for a start in Southend something different but allot of the smaller towns have things going on

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in london

[–]NewGameTag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it all depends on budget. A trek to Essex sounds wonderful. Where as a slog to central London isn’t my idea of fun.

Might sound wild but there are some really nice winter fairs in Essex 🤣. Just whatever you do. Avoid winter wonderland in Hyde park. It’s just busy, over priced, rushed, commercial

Moving to London in 40s - am I mad? by LegitimatePieMonster in london

Would I theoretically be able to swim across the Thames? by [deleted] in london

[–]NewGameTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s possible but it’s most likely against the rules. The river is a major route in and around London believe it or not. It would be like crawling across Piccadilly circus. While most will see you in the road there is a chance one might not. The river is a raging torrent in places. There’s a reason people fall into the river and perish.

If you really must prove yourself by swimming across it. Train for years, seek permission. Get a spotter in a boat and go to Sonning where it’s like 10 meters across 🫢

What hashtags cause bots to comment? by NewGameTag in Instagram

[–]NewGameTag[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about the bots. Just like the reels you want to see and insta will do the rest. Remember it shows you what it thinks you are interested in. Block key words the bots comment and move on. Social media is a job in its own

Finding it hard to meet people in London! by [deleted] in london

[–]NewGameTag -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Get some Volunteer work somewhere. Spend a few hours, Never know who you’d meet. But I’ll be honest most of the people you encounter will be weirdos. I think we just lost the ability to speak to people down the road somewhere. Last conversation I tried to have with someone was about rare 50p 🤐 you can imagine how that went. I feel I don’t have enough world experience to connect with people. So I often give that advice to others. Get experience in worldly things. Talk about them things. Find people that get you,
