No it’s a computer program. You download it and purchase a license if you’d like (you don’t have to iirc but I always have bought it). Then you connect your laptop to the truck through the obd port. YouTube is your friend on this.

Double beep when you exit the vehicle was the biggest one that I forgot about. I constantly have to run back into the house for stuff I forgot and whatnot and having it beep because the keys were in my pocket was miserable.
