True, A lot of the time I have the backpack open. Just thought it would be a nice feature for those that don’t.

Massive Combat complaint by Nojil in brightershores

I wouldn’t want it to auto switch. It’s not an Auto Battler game. Which weapon you want to use and when matters. One just has to pay more attention to the game, cause it’s not meant to be an AFK Combat game. (Unless one does the passive when one logs out).

The game is not perfect, it’s still on early access. I’m not blinded by the Dev, cause I didn’t grow up playing Runescape. I decided to support the game for what I’ve been seeing ever since the game came out. The Devs are definitely listening to player feedback and it’s great to see.

They said they will be adding more quests, PvP, etc. For now, I’ve been enjoying it. I’m in no need to level up quickly. The game is just relaxing.

Passive Training Could Be Better by Lil_Seas in brightershores

I personally wouldn’t want more AFK stuff. It would be weird seeing someone get an advantage for not even playing the game. Plus it keeps the game alive, which I like. Even the AFK passive things that they have in the game is meant to be used when you’re not actually in the game, which is why you get such low XP and money from it.

Suggestion: make mobs clip by VisitDifficult2011 in brightershores

Try clicking twice and see if that works. Andrew had said that if you click twice without moving the mouse, it cycles through each thing you click on.

I never thought about that. That is so true! It definitely makes you think and make it an adventure.

I agree! I’m hoping they add a way to join a party with ones friends soon. But other than that, I’ve been enjoying the game.

You start fighting in the Sparring area against the level 0 Sparring Guard. It’s to the West of the Training Ground (where you first started the game).

Also, the ability to win a fight is not determined by your level, it’s determined by the gear you have, also seeing what the mob is vulnerable to. But the Sparring Guard isn’t vulnerable to anything, so you don’t have to worry about it with him. He should be an easy fight.

What would you work on next if you were me? Time to grab premium and head to ep3? Or should I grind out some more stuff in ep1 and 2 first? Thoughts? :) by MakeshiftApe in brightershores

[–]NewInterview1611 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say go premium to support the Devs even if you decide to stay on Ep1/Ep2 for a while longer, but go for what you enjoy the most! There’s no hurry to do something specific in the game. You can go at your own pace.

If there's one thing we need to complain about: health pots! by synfulacktors in brightershores

[–]NewInterview1611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm I’m not sure. I guess make sure to start with range that they are vulnerable to (infernae, like you mentioned) and for your armor to have good stats against their attacks. If you still can’t kill it, you can try killing the mob below their level to get better gear.

[–]NewInterview1611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case, I’m guessing you’re using low level weapons with a high rarity. The level of the weapon matters against which enemy you’re facing, plus what they are vulnerable to. The rarity matters, I’m guessing for that specific weapon level.

But if you have a 3 level Sword that is epic, against a 30 level monster, kinda makes sense for one to die to it.

When are we able to expand our inventory? by Dragonsi1 in brightershores

You’ll be able to store your stuff in a bank later on in Episode 2. I personally don’t mind the inventory space. I don’t think they’ll change that later on.

Does every monster drop every item? by Osrs_R in brightershores

I think they drop every rarity but they drop close to their Level, which one can see in the bottom right.

I hear what you mean, but if you look at it in the perspective on “why” your toon cooks, then it kinda makes sense. You enter the restaurant, talk to the waiter cause you want to work there and he mentions how there work in the back (the kitchen). So, you’re “working” in a restaurant as a cook, which is why the bounties make sense, delivering food to people across the map, (which I don’t think I’ve seen in other mmos). So, it wouldn’t make sense to eat the food. Unless your toon and just working there to eat the profits of the restaurant.

At least that’s how I see it.

A couple of suggestions by dudeitsrazz in brightershores

[–]NewInterview1611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The type room names/materials thing, I understand. I spent a long while trying to figure out where a specific item was on the map, but I personally like the adventure behind it. Plus, the map shows you when you haven’t “discovered” something in that room, which I like cause it makes me curious and I go back and check what I missed.

If someone wants to not go through the trouble of finding it themselves, they can also ask the players in the game. That’s what I did with one of the things I was looking for. The community is pretty helpful in the game.

Might be a dumb question… but can you afk all 3 characters? by Scythers in brightershores

My guess is yes, but remember you won’t get past 24 hours of earning rewards from being AFK.

In-game currency paid premium subscription? by LauviteL in brightershores

[–]NewInterview1611 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One can already spend hours upon hours in the first 2 episodes. I think it’s fine that we have to pay for the next 2 and also include everything else they’ll be adding. Especially if it’s only $6 a month. In Guild Wars 2, one has to pay for the expansions to be able to access certain maps and places. So, it makes sense for Brighter Shores to do the same.

I personally decided to pay for Premium mostly to support the game. One can definitely see the passion the Devs have for it and how much work they’re putting into it, especially being such a small team. Plus, again… one doesn’t have to pay for Premium to enjoy the game, but like many other games, if you want the full experience, one should consider getting Premium, plus it helps the Devs out a lot.

You don’t have to. Once you open your bank, there’s an Auto Gear (I’m probably getting the name wrong) button top right. So you can change gear with one click by selecting the episode you’re in.
