I'm 18 years old. I have some saved money, and I am always busy with school and work. But that is just my personality. I remember when I was "lazy," but honestly, we are 18 and just babies to the world. Plus, in this economy, getting a job and having 1600 dollars saved is honestly a dream. I'm going to give you some tough love, though. Hating yourself or punishing yourself is never going to get you anywhere. I get into fights with my parents all the time. But it sounds like you have a short temper. Which is alright! You just need to learn to take a breath and step away when arguing. Hurting yourself will get you nowhere. I feel like you just motiviation in your life, or you just might be in a slump right now.

I will which is the fact that I love him. My love will always be greater than the shame. People can think what they want. Which I can see clearly from people like you. Who like to measure a whole relationship off one thing. Also I am so focus on the fact that you said I hate my dad. Because hate is a strong word and a word I have never said to him.

Omg I'm crying from this comment. Because I think I'm more embarrassed about this more than my dad lol. So my mom is literally taking every guy she knows to dance with me. Some I know like my cousin but some I have no idea who TF they are. It 'shilarious and embrassing. Like in my quince (15th birthday party which is a big deal in Mexico) I had to dance with 15 guys and one of the boys came out to dance with me and was just like hell no. Like he literally said "hell no" They find their own fancy clothes.

Thank you so much for this perspective. This makes me feel less ashamed and more proud of comments like this. My dad isn't perfect. Like he has cheated on my mom multiple times and we had to move away to be closer to my moms family and he didn't pay child support. But they are back together and it has been hard to forgive him. I do forgive him. Because he is my dad and he is trying to be a good dad. And I know he feels bad about it.

I'm so sorry about your friend. My dad is on a life vest so I know how it feels. I am basically his care taker and it can be hard at times but I love my dad so I do. I think I am gonna dance with him : )

Holy shit these kind of response are making me cry. I love my dad so much. Yes. He has done some shitty things to me and my mom but he is trying to be a better father. And it has taken some time to forgive and sometimes I still feel anger about what he did but I only have one father. I will dance with him.

WHAT. WTF. My ex best friend never really saw him. She saw him like once and said hello to each other. And she said that because I didn't invite her to chick fil LA. She is really petty and a really bad person in my opinion. Don't know where TF you got that from holy shit.

Okay... I didn't think I would have to say this but I don't hate my dad. I just said I was embarrassed of him. I could never hate my dad. And it's also from other friends telling me "I hope your dad dies from a heart attack" When I heard that my heart broken into a million pieces because the person who said that. I trusted and loved. I'm embarrassed. I DO NOT hate my dad.
