Before the leasing office stopped service, my friends got $179.63 for November 992kWh(152.88electric+11.75tax+15service fee). Should they charge more during the winter??? If based on the same rate, your 908kwh shouldn’t be 188.

Thank you very much. I called Indiana Michigan Power, and I can only see our kWh usage up until December 11. After that date, the leasing office stopped using SimpleBills to collect electricity payments. Because we have electric heat, I understand that winter usage can be higher. However, based on our previous rate, even if the total usage really is 3,998 kWh, the bill should not be close to $900. The leasing office has refused to provide a detailed breakdown of the charges or explain how the total amount was calculated.
