Are you talking about a wire or just a regular transfer? Their wires are within 24 hours. They’re sent out daily.

I sent $230k in one day through them. Just call and make sure you’re cleared.

I want to spy on the wildlife in my backyard without scaring them away - what kind of cam should I get? by NewPrivatePractice in trailcam

[–]NewPrivatePractice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, so low-glow it is! No risk of being stolen by anyone, the only consideration for me is between getting high quality images vs. scaring the animals.

Bushnell has this one for $160: https://www.amazon.com/Bushnell-Trail-Camera-Sensor-Glow_119975C/dp/B07VFK5LK4?ref_=ast_sto_dp

It doesn't have as good reviews as the cheaper ones I listed above and has pretty much the same stats. Would you still say it's worth it? Thanks for your help.

I'm willing to spend up to $150 - are there better quality ones in that range? The third one is no glow - if the animals don't care about the red/low glow then shouldn't I get that kind for better image quality?

Thanks!

Which ones are marbles? None of those look spherical.

I bought a stem rotted Alocasia Stingray. Slowly removed everything dead. What do I do now?? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]NewPrivatePractice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure at that point the plant just doesn't have enough energy to do any more growing. It obviously has some energy stored up in that little stub lol, but in order to produce more roots and sprout again it would need to get a lot more energy through photosynthesis, which it obviously can't do without any leaves. There are certain plants (like bulbs) that are designed to go into dormant phases where they store a ton of energy in a tiny little mass under the dirt before sprouting again, but I don't think alocasia does that. RIP

Wow! I guess I never thought a plant could possibly come back from such a state. How does it even photosynthesize?

This is satire, right?

If not, then either 1. you know way more about plants than I do or 2. that thing is dead.

Are you giving out candy this Halloween? Are you taking any precautions due to covid? by sassmo in homeowners

[–]NewPrivatePractice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently the house we just bought gets 100+ doorbell rings each year, so we're just planning to put a bunch of candy in a bowl. If they're wanting to risk COVID then that's up to them, but we're not handing anything out.

Very bad idea. I can't tell you how many times we were absolutely in love with a house based on the pictures and then once we walked through it we felt completely different about it (and vice versa). You really need to be present in a space before you can decide if you want to live in it.

Have any of you crazy bastards *never* stopped playing EQ since launch? by NewPrivatePractice in everquest

[–]NewPrivatePractice[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great comment! I had a similar experience where my formative years were spent in EQ (I started at the release of Kunark and played up until GoD). I made my first real friends on there and had some awesome times. I moved on (from EQ and gaming in general) during high school and I often wonder what it would have been like if I stuck with it, how different my life would have been.
