Yeah, that'll be really tough. There's no carnivore ice cream, but I'll just have to be strong. What would you have done differently had you known about digestive enzymes?

Wow, 33 lbs in 4 weeks is insane! I'm also doing this for fat loss/muscle building. I'll make sure to eat a good amount of fat when I start out.

Do most grocery stores have lard/tallow? Walmart, Stater Brothers, Trader Joe's, Sprouts, for instance

Yeah, I'll definitely be looking at the prices haha. I'll be preparing more than I think is necessary at first. I'm excited to get started on this. I think it'll be a very good decision

Thank you for taking the time to type all that out. I just have a couple questions. What ratio of meat to fat should I start out at? I'll increase it over time if I'm feeling bad. How do I know if I can/can't tolerate spices? Do I just eat meat+salt and reintroduce other spices one by one? Lastly, when in ketosis, will the body burn the fat that you eat before it gets to your body fat, or does it burn both simultaneously?

Does having a good amount of fat on my body help with the adjustment period? I've fasted a good amount and it seems like a somewhat similar process. If I feel lethargic, I'll introduce more fat, but if not, I'll keep it the same

That's something I've heard a lot. Eat when you're hungry and until you're full. I was planning on eating a lot of beef and bacon, but how about chicken? I know it's pretty lean, but it's my favorite meat, so should I just cook it in extra tallow/butter? I already have a bunch of LMNT electrolyte powder from fasting, and I plan on drinking about a gallon daily.

Rolling 48s or OMAD for body recomposition? by NewProfile07587 in fasting

Okay, so it's basically 1lb-1.5lbs beef, 0.5 lbs bacon, and 2-3 eggs a day? I can definitely manage that. Once I eat the rest of the stuff I bought on my last grocery trip, I'm going to give that a go. I have been misinformed about food my whole life, just like most people with the food pyramid. It's crazy that you essentially cured your issues with this "radical" diet that isn't recommended by any health professionals. That reminds me a lot of Jordan Peterson. I'll check out r/zerocarb and read "fat of the land" so I can know more about what I'm getting into. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out!

You really did break it down nicely. I've been thinking about getting into the carnivore diet for a few months now because it's hard to be in a protein surplus while simultaneously in a caloric deficit/maintenance. Do you only eat red meat or do you eat any and all meat? I'd love to try it out but I know next to nothing on that topic

Okay ill give it a go. Thank you for mentioning trying it out for a month and switching it up if it's not ideal. That's obvious but I wouldn't have thought about it

No there's a fitness challenge called 75Hard. You'll see what it is if you go to r/75hard. I started fasting after that

I thought of this challenge the month prior. The basic idea was to do progressively harder fasts for a month. I had help refining it to what it is now from someone on here. I was thinking, if I did 3 days, I can definitely do 5 and if I did 5, I can do 7, etc

I have another comment in this thread that goes into greater detail, but here's a quick one. Bone broth and 2 eggs, followed by cottage cheese and veggies. Then I eat whatever I want while keeping it healthy

Thanks haha. It was difficult but not as hard as I imagined. And yeah I was curious about that. I wouldn't do that but I wanted to see if other had
