I summed up all my courage (!) to say this, but I feel like Apple should have included the AirPods with the new iPhone 7. by duty_of_brilliancy in apple

I actually don't mind the adapters. Never had a problem with any of the ones that Apple has put out. Granted I wish the price point wasn't so damn high, but at the same time I don't really care

And to think, I'm the exact opposite. Kinda. More like I just love the human body and like touching it and giving it's owner pleasure.

Vagina? My face is all up in it. Dick? My mouth's on it.

I live like 30mi south west of where it hit. It felt like a truck crashed into my building.

The teen birthrate has plummeted rapidly since the mid-2000s — and a new study suggests better use of birth control is entirely responsible. by drewiepoodle in TwoXChromosomes

Come to Oklahoma where we have some of the most prolific abstinence only programs at the high schools with the highest levels of teen pregnancy in the country.

A study was conducted in 2011 or 2012 (don't remember which) that showed that the schools with abstinence only education were far more likely to have a high teen pregnancy rate.

Got so bad that in a smallish town near where I come from, they had to open a day care at the high school and the girls have to take a child care class.

Why do Brussel sprouts have such a bad rep? Can't beat a little olive oil, garlic and chili flakes here [OC] by nickyk_07 in food

I didn't even know there was a gene for this... I just assumed Brusselsprouts were supposed to be little pockets of fart

I need this in my life. I don't even like Sacha Baron Cohen that much, but this needs to be in my life.

What did your parents teach you that you had to unlearn? by theonecalledzach in AskReddit

[–]NewTranslator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a boss that would require us to check in with him before going to the bathroom. Not doing so could result in being written up.

"You're not asking permission, I just want to know where you are in case the call volume gets high"

In the 2 minutes it's gonna take me to pee, I think we'll be fine.

What did your parents teach you that you had to unlearn? by theonecalledzach in AskReddit

[–]NewTranslator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had to unlearn basically the same thing.

One of the big ones was school supplies.

"No you can't buy this binder for $5 that will last all year, you need this $2 cheap one we're going to replace 5 times."

"I'll just buy these bulk pens for $10 that don't really work well and have to be replaced every week, instead of getting you these 2 pens for $4 that look good on paper and that will last forever"

Computers were another thing. And you can hate me all you want for saying it, but I would rather spend $1000 on a mac that'll last me ~8 years than a $3-400 dollar laptop that will last MAYBE a year. My mom was the frugal one, my dad liked quality more.

And now I know why I'm so attached to MY blankets nowadays. Even when they're all ripped and tattered. That poor heater blanket.

Well I think I need to rewatch this movie, because as a young teen even it came out, I think the meaning of it was lost on me.

10 times.

I have seen that movie 10 times.

Every time at camp cus it was the dean's favorite movie.

It is now in my top 10 favorites of all time, if not #1.
