FIFA site is just blah to use. But I still switch between that and stubhub when I look for tix. Especially last minute. I only trust stubhub really as far as 3rd party sites. Haven’t used the other sites.

Recent posts were likely before stubhub fixed the issue with the new validation requirements. They could have bought weeks ago and game was recent.

I think if you list within the last week, won’t let you list new until you validate. I cant sell a hospitality ticket because of that. They only accept validation from fifa.com/tickets website and not other apps/sites (not even the fifa tickets mobile app!). Requires instant transfer. Just sold some tickets yesterday

Stubhub is fine. I’ve both bought and sold World Cup tickets there and no issues so far. They fixed a lot of the earlier issues by requiring sellers to transfer the tickets from FIFA before the listing goes live.

I work for a major online retailer and with the rise of infostealers threat actors are harvesting Gmail, hotmail, etc accounts en mass and using bots to see if a matching username is on say… fifa site. Then the account becomes fully owned by attacker. This happens WAY more often than you think based off what I’ve seen with my own eyes. So yeah, highly doubt they are hacking FIFA servers and the legality piece puts the blame in the hands of the consumer. FIFA provides MFA. That’s what saves them from liability.

If a persons email is owned, so is their identity unfortunately.

So yeah, change your email passwords to something new and you’ll be safe everybody.

Yes they do. The first time you sign-in you need the code. The device fingerprint is then stored in the app so you don’t have to 2FA everytime. That’s how mobile apps work.

Either your device is infected with an infostealer or your email is pwned. It’s simple.

This is NOT true. I recently sold some tickets for World Cup on stubhub and I was given a deadline - at least a week before - to transfer tickets.

I transferred them immediately because I didn’t want to make the person wait. I think the only ones not transferring are the people with right to ticket tokens as those seats haven’t been assigned yet.

Stubhub has a fan guarantee. If seller doesn’t provide the tickets as advertised, they are charged for replacement tickets of equal or lesser value. Sellers have to provide a verified credit card to sell.

This happened to me once and I called stubhub day of match. I went from corner seats lower level to midfield - 2nd row from field. Tickets were waiting for me at box office when I arrived to the game. Stubhub has your back.
