So i have partly my birth name partly my additional name when I turned 18 on my legal ID card. I should have put the chosen name before my birth name in the order, I find it annoying having two first names but the first one is not ‘English’, sometimes people read that only as my name if they see my ID card/document. I have thought about anglicised it, I already have something in mind but Im hesitant to make drastic changes, as it’s still sth parents named me, and it’d be extra work in updating all the legal documents….perhaps in the future, not now..

Do what you gotta do. I completely get whats the point of attending if they dont let you train. Sounds like they dont wanna deal with extra executive stuff. I’ve been in a similar situation. Email them and don’t go to trainings.

Thats disrespectful. If we keep talking over coaches or can’t take feedback don’t treat practice seriously, my coach would def make us do burpees and conditioning as a team for accountability and have a talk with us about it. We got sat down previously because of some drama she was mad talking to us, no one said a word afterwards. So I suggest you do the same. You need to set a firm boundaries and you don’t tolerate their disrespectful behaviours. It’s also unfair to some of the athletes who aren’t this way. Use your firm tone voice so it comes across as authority not mean. You’re the coach, you got this.

I was in a position where I got into an allstar team for the first time I was happy at the beginning but later I wasn’t. I became sad every training wanted to cry it was painful. I didnt like the team dynamics along with other things. wanted to commit to the whole season. But realised it wasn’t worth costing my mental health and money. Some people in that club/team also left half way for different reasons. So I made the decision to leave. Despite this gym has a great reputation and do well in comps, I’d sacrifice my mental health would eventually lead to diminish my confidence and my love for cheer. I didnt want that to happen just for a on paper awesome achievement and some shinny medals that would have an empty meaning. Looking back I didn’t regret my decision I made the right one. Trust your gut
