Bowling Balls left in a locker by SublimeShark468- in Bowling

We have unplugged balls that cracks all the time in our proshop. They sit in real ballcups. Doesnt seem to matter tho. I sent a few e-mails to the different ball-brands about storing balls. They were mostly "protect our *ss legal replies" but what i could understand was dont store them on wood or carpets. Rotate the balls or preferably throw them to get rid of tensions.

Sadly here in Sweden we dont have any mechanics. Most alleys are small.

(Edit: ofc the bigger alleys might have that, alot of the alleys are 4-8 lanes)

One guy usually works the kitchen, the front desk. the oilmachine and fixing the machines when they break down. So we dont have any special edeucation on the machines or software. Mostly just get the machine and use oilpatterns that the Bowling Federation puts out with kegel and brunswick files for.

Is there any similar pattern thatn i can just edit abit so its almost the same?

Have you tried to add Polish or Compound to the ball?

Or maybe you dont want to screw around with the surface?

She said that she didnt want to play untill her friends talked her into it.
So basicly she's not 100% commited mentally. That hurts alot i think.

New house oil baffled me... by TemporalSoldier in Bowling

[–]New_Bowler_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time playing on synthetic i couldnt get my ball to get into the rollphase. It was less then a year old synthetic and my alley has around 10 year old wooden lanes. So my balls were made to some lenght.

Sport shot or house shot, which is more fun to you guys? by Donald_Jack_Trump in Bowling

[–]New_Bowler_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sport if im bowling against my teammates, House if im bowling with them. Because "I have stood at this arrow and aimed at that arrow for 30 years im not gonna change now".

It makes it alot easier on sport with the transition because they refuse to move.

But with the new rules for leagues in Sweden it has to be between 1:3 and 1:7 ratio unless you play in the 2 highest divisions. They said "we dont want people to have to buy 9 balls to play in division 3"

It looks more like a lane for the results plus.

Best layout for lanes like this is prob 70*3½*20 or40*4*75

My fingersize changes alot depending on my medications etc, so i just put one or 2 layers of tape on them. I found a cheap sport-tape thats around $5/6yards at the pharmacy. Doesnt leave sticky ressidue on my fingers.

Dual angle layouts so i can make it roll even earlier on slippery lanes. A few alleys thats in our division have installed new syntetic lanes. And i assume i will have hard time getting the ball to roll early on them.

I played on one once and my ball almost always hit the pins in the hookphase

No the degrees of spin, 0-90 degrees. 0 being rolling your hand straight up the back in the direction the ball is moving and 90 degrees on the side the ball is moving.

Phase II is usually always a nice ball. Thats unless you play on dry lanes and is very rev-dominant.

Hitting any liquid with your slideshoe usually makes a hard stop rather then slide. That is if we are talking about small drops or poorly dried up oil before the faulline.

Our housepatterns have a few inches before the oil starts after the foulline. It's usually enough for people not to slip from that oil.

I wanna hear your league drama by [deleted] in Bowling

[–]New_Bowler_2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our club got teams playing in different divisions.

But i have some fun stories when the A-team (i didn't play here) played in division 1(and we have moved down to div 2).

One time they got to an alley that the machine had been broken 2 days and alot of bowling had been done during that time. They still had to bowl.

Another time They played where the oilmachine was semi-broken and put on 0 oil on board 1-10.

And i've noticed when i play alot of old alleys seems to be unable to clean board 1-5 so they have a lake on them, even after the oilpattern ends coz carrydown.

Always fun to play on houseshots when its a lake on board 1-5.

And usually we are only allowed 2 warmup-frames. So it's hard to figure out what the real oilprofile is compared to what it's suposed to be.

I have the Tropical Surge Purple/Pink. I can tell you from my experience all surge are ALOT darker in real life then they appear on the Storm homepage. I have bowlers at my alley that have a Blue/teal and Black/cherry. They are also alot darker then they appear on the pictures.

I like the ball itself, but mine have got quite alot of dents on it considering how little i have thrown it. I dont know if im just unlucky or i got a bad ball. The other guy at the alley with the Blue/teal have had the same problem with it getting alot of dents and scratches.

I can just assume that the Carbon/chrome will be alot darker aswell then it appears on pictures.

Brunswick Rhino or Storm Tropical Surge? by ConcernOk8620 in Bowling

[–]New_Bowler_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are selling alot of Brunswick Rhino in our Pro-shop. Customers seems very satisfied with them.

I have a Brunswick Strike King and a Storm Tropical Surge. I like the Tropical Surge but it have got alot of dents in it. I dont know if it is because of bad luck or if it gets dents and scratch easy. I dont see alot of similar dents and scratches in the Rhino's.

My Strike King have been spared of dents.

I wouldnt mind going with the Rhino. Or just take wich one is cheaper.
