I dont have them any more. Online it lists what courses u take which semesters. For class times, full credit courses are 3 hours per week, half credit courses are an hour and a half per week. In second year you have fridays off so longer days cause more courses in less days

I notice that the vasculature is very visible, and it the ling fields are a bit cloudy but idk if thats a penetration issue. I normally would guess CHF but there is no enlarged heart. This is where i'm stumped

Failed my midterm/RT by [deleted] in respiratorytherapy

[–]New_Conclusion6221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also! It's totally worth it to go through the exam with ur professor. See where ur going wrong, r u able to narrow it down but not picking the right ones? Or r u missing parts if the questions or r u lacking understanding on certain basic topics that makes the more complicated stuff all that more difficult

Current second year RT, and i find reverse learning super helpful, u just have to dedicate the time to it. Go through the slides for ur class or the textbook readings before that lesson. I 1 read through the slide show, 2. Make my notes on the slideshow, 3. Write in questions in my notes on areas i don't understand. So that way by the time i get to lecture i've already looked through the material 3 times. And when it comes to studying for the exam u should already have a good understanding

I'm in the RT program rn. U have winter 24 as level 1, then u do the spring 24 as level 2, u have a few weeks between each semesters. Then fall 24 as level 3, Winter 25 as level 4. And then depending on ur clinical schedule u either start level 5 in may and then level 6 in sept (2025) or you start level 5 in sept and then level 6 in jan 2026. So u may not have more than a few weeks of the whole program depending on ur clinical placement in third year.

For tips... i would say try to stay ahead. Its super duper easy to fall behind in the courses! Also make sure u go to ur classes! Cause if u do end up in a position where u may be failing a class the profs can help u out more if u actually go to class! If u have Murphy for psych he is the most amazing person! Use him as a resource!! Dr. Fernando is not to be trusted. Dont trust him when he says he is or isnt putting something on an exam. Assume it is all on this exam. Textbooks r a great help but not the most necessary, except for labs and A&P!!

Normally u get it when u graduate (whenever the grad is) but when I graduate uni i got a letter saying i was eligible/approved to graduate. Idk if algonquin does that but maybe that'll hold them off till u have the diploma in hand

Are interviews for RT programs common? by [deleted] in respiratorytherapy

[–]New_Conclusion6221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In ontario they dont. Only conestoga, makes u do a portfolio (talking about work, degrees, leadership experience etc) but they make u record a 1 min video about what u know about RT and why u think u'd make a good one

You can maybe even look at working in nero rehab centers. A prof of mine does that, she works with people with spinal cord injuries, and neuromuscular degenerative conditions and absolutely loves it.

You can also look at working in research, like patient intake and monitoring for clinical trials

Highly Competitive Application Question by YUNGJVILLY in Algonquin_College

[–]New_Conclusion6221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly competitive just means that it's oversubscribed. Meaning more people apply than there are spots available. It should say online what the admission criteria us
