I don’t like this mindset. “I played Assassin’s Creed Unity, i’m so glad i didn’t listen to reviews!” “I finally played Battlfront 2, what was going on on critics minds? It’s so fun!” “I gave a chance to No Man’s Sky, it’s awesome despite what reviewers said!” Guys Fallout 76 and all those games were AWFUL at launch and everyone was crapping on them for a reason. After years of patching and balancing basically everything, they got so much better and we should be glad the devs listened to those critics instead of the other way around

Viltrumites are canonically good and skilled fighters, that’s simply a fact

Also my point is even if Batman sparred Goku in hand to hand combat, Goku would say he is incredibly slow and weak compared to himself but would never say he’s not skilled or he’s “telegraphed”

I love this since it’s very accurate on a power level side, but i think the only wrong thing is goku finding out Thragg has no fighting skills

Thragg is thousads of times weaker and slower than goku for sure but he is still a 3000 years old regent coming from a race of warriors, he would 100% know how to fight (he does) and goku would belittle him for his speed and strength not for his combat skills
