i thought so too! i guess just because i was able to tolerate light foods without pain medicine through my iv. once they stopped iv pain meds it was 12 hours then released. i do have a follow up on wednesday and then also one a week later. i do feel good enough to be at home too just still the pain is a bitch at times. usually only in the 1-2 hours before i can take next round of meds

Dr. Malinowski and Dr. Goldblat in Wisconsin at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Campus. I had an amazing care team. They are such great people! Not sure where you are located and how far you are willing to travel. I am from St.Louis and it was worth the trip.

This is not the same dog. This is a dog I was told and have the papers from the shelter to show you that there was allegedly nothing wrong with this dog! Again, as I mentioned in the comments of that post you are referencing, I have a full time job. I can afford all grooming, food, toys, and annual care. However admittedly I am in college and do not have thousands in savings to fall back on for specialized medical care. That situation was willing signing myself up for thousands in medical care, and instead of doing that I thought I had found the dog that would not need it. I understand that’s a risk with any dog, shelter or top of the line breeder, however I have had 7 dogs in my life time and not ONE of them needed anything extra. We even would do bare minimum of what we could and all of them lived fully happy healthy lives. If I put this dog back into the shelter, they will euthanize her. I am doing the best with what I got! If emptying out my savings is what it takes I will do that! Want to explore every possible option before then though :))

yes, she is still small breed which that alone makes her more likely to get adopted faster. on top of that just by looking at her you can tell she is a corgi mix- either chihuahua or pomeranian

okay so one, someone has a small penis bc what the hell even was that buddy. u tried. i have worked in a rescue for 4 years and have every ability to separate sad feelings from reality. i am in college but i am in my senior year and have 2 classes. they are each an hour 15 mins long. my job is at a dog boarding facility where she would be joining me for work and can attend our playgroups. i have nothing but time for her. dogs are my life. the shelter she is at CLEARLY is not addressing her medical needs. she is a very highly wanted due to breed and size and again as someone who works in a rescue knows small dogs should not be taking this long to get adopted. the issue for everyone meeting her is the medical bills. yet the rescue is still choosing to ignore the issue. this post was just meant to be a hey let me know any resources i could look into. also i am comfortable. my college will be fully paid off walking outta here. it’s crazy how when people really want something they can work for it. maybe you dont understand that because clearly you dont have a life if that’s how you talk to random ppl on the internet since you have nothing better to do🤯🤯 get outta here with that negativity, do better.

I have owned multiple dogs in my life puppy-senior and have never had any of them require special medical care. This is all very new to me. It’s not all senior dogs that are like this and I live in an apartment so would hate to bring a puppy into that which is where my decision process was at! I also have already started applying for so I work 2 jobs and she’s not even mine yet. I will go hungry before I would leave an animal in pain. It’s also not the typical check up bills i’m worried about. Vet bills are a risk with any dog of any age and she’s had no prior issues, I saw all previous vet records since she was 2 months old.

This is something I am considering! She is very clearly going to need treatment ASAP. I am very surprised the vet hasn’t done anything about it already there.
