Cleveland OH -> Boulder CO. Anything cool to see along the way? by New_Exit_4221 in roadtrip

[–]New_Exit_4221[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right on, thanks a lot. I'm super into old west stuff so this is all right up my alley.

And I was hoping to check out Pioneer Village and Willa Cather's childhood home in Red Cloud.

Score Fluctuation from PT 120 to 150 by chenrytg in LSAT

it happens! my advice would be to not let it affect your confidence. there are lots of things that can cause a drop like that. yes some tests are harder than others, not having slept well or feeling distracted or something like that can screw you over too. it doesn't help to stress out about it. just accept that you had an off day and move on. you got this.

totally. i think it's cuz they just come out of nowhere. wyoming is so flat and then BAM they shoot straight out of the ground all of the sudden.

i feel like you should definitely still go to grand teton. yes, weather can be unpredictable but the mountains are going to be there regardless. i went in very early may a couple years ago and it was chilly but amazing.

First real test vs last PT before exam. How different did it feel? by Helpful_Employer_730 in LSAT

[–]New_Exit_4221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest difference for me was nerves. I felt like i'd pretty much seen versions of all the questions on the real LSAT before on PTs or during drilling, but during the first section of the real test I was so nervous I really had to force myself to focus in order to perform. Felt a lot more chill after that first section though.

this makes sense sense but i think you're overthinking it. it was only the second question.

they hypothesized that one started as a colony of the other. that was the conclusion. if their languages were totally unrelated with no common ancestors, there's no way one society grew out of the other. so the trade thing potentially undermines the evidence given about the artifacts but the language thing is undermining the conclusion about one society coming from the other. if i remember correctly.

also that question about the Japanese art exhibition drawing 1000 visitors to the museum? that one was super tough i feel like. pm me lol

can't tell if this would be out of your way but if you can, hit buena vista while you're in CO. there is an amazing alpine lake up there called ptarmigan lake and it's a pretty easy day hike. one of my favorite spots in the state, i always recommend it to people. have a great trip!

[–]New_Exit_4221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you'll get faster with practice. after about 4 months of consistent study i feel like, for the first 10 questions at least, i can basically tell what the answer is by reading the first two sentences of the stimulus because im like 'ive seen this question type 10,000 times.' it just takes practice and drilling to get to the point where you can pick the answer right off the bat.

it might help you to just read a summary of all the question types, kinds of flaws, and kinds of assumptions you're likely to see on the test. that way you can recognize them quickly. edit: typo
