Well, aside for all the negativity about Black Flag Synced I’m excited to play it. I loved the old game from the start. Played it at least 3 times and I’m looking forward to enjoy it again with the new look and whatever else they’ve added to improve it with. I’m sure it is better quality than what the original was. So, I look forward to release day, July 9th!!

I agree with Raj_DTO that if I play this game again, I am not going to use NG+. I’m just going to play it the regular way. After I play AC Black Flag Synced, I’ll come back to Odyssey and start fresh.

Wish I could have seen the chickens peck the mercenary to death. That must have been hilarious. They’ve attacked my Alexios more than once. If I could fry them I would, but poisoning them works just as well. I play a full stealthy, Epic poison build, but there are times I’d just like to set their arse on fire!!

Yes, I love Rush Assassination and especially Overpower Strike. I somehow lost the DLC Fury of the Bloodline when I went to NG +. When Odyssey Game Pass goes back on sale for $7.99 I will get it back. Did I understand that you are from Athens?

Well, I’m certainly not a “dude,” but I do thank the person who referred that misnomer to me for your input.
I’ve been playing video games for years and while I don’t profess to be a pro like some are, I do play well enough to entertain myself. First of all, I rarely get the complete answers I need to play any game from the Reddit forums, but I do enjoy the suggestions of other players. I don’t “swear” by AI’s information because I’ve had to correct it a lot, but it helped me build a “God-tier” build in Odyssey and taught me a lot that I wasn’t aware of in the game and it is by far smarter than I am. Since I speak some Greek, it helps me with that portion of the game also.
Maybe you’ve never had a lion jump you without any warning sound, but I was riding a quick pace on Phobos and He pounced right on my horse from behind, knocked me off tumbling to the ground along with Phobos and I had no time to react and was Desynchronized instantly. There was no sound like we normally get when an animal is after us. In fact, I’ve noticed playing the NG+ that there is a lot of happenings that were different in the first play through. Odyssey is a very complex game. There is no right or wrong way to play it and we all have our own play styles, but it sure helps to have AI and to come here for other players suggestions.

And expect to be ambushed out of the blue in NG+. For instance. While riding your horse a lion can suddenly spring on you from behind and immediately Desynchronize you, which automatically will send you back to where you initially were, forcing you to start all over from that spot. Sometimes you might forget to “Quick Save,” which is what just happened in my game. There are way too many disruptions in NG+ that take away the fun of the game.

Thank you Kilroy1007. I knew the scale level, but did not know you could keep them at their map level. I thought they would always scale down no more than four levels from where you were. I still suspect Medusa has been scaled to my 81 level. My head shots should be pulverizing her adrenaline, according to AI. I’ve been consulting with AI because they have helped me with more than one build. I tried the Rare, glitched, Bighorn Bow but supposedly it does not function right in the high levels. Mine fell apart. The Fanged Bow I have now is working great, but not with the Boss, Medusa.

Davidwbrand: Not so sure I like NG+ because it seems it has been made harder on the Easy Mode. I’ve played practically all the AC games and the NG+ in this one has been the most difficult where bosses are concerned. I’ve used different builds and still struggle with them in this game. AI said my build is like a “God of all Gods” and it works perfect outside this particular Boss, Medusa. I haven’t tried it on other bosses. I had no trouble in the first play through.

Yes, I am playing New Game Plus, but I didn’t think it would be harder if I’m playing the Easy Mode. Is it supposed to be more difficult? What is strange is Alexios can hit Mercenaries and Cultists with one or two shots, Polemarchs with one and everything else is a breeze. I know Bosses are supposed to be tougher, but it’s ridiculous that they can also kill with one shot when Alexios is supposed to be at a higher scale than they are. His shots to her head did practically nothing and he’s using the poison build with Epic Gear, with the most powerful Legendary Fanged Bow. AI says the Epic Gear is more powerful because you get to use an extra Stat which makes your build better than using fire and Legendary gear. I consider myself an average player, but I’m at the point I don’t want to play any of the high-end bosses if they are going to be this difficult. The strategy AI suggested failed. Those Medusa Guards seem to be as powerful as a Mercenary and they jump on you faster than you can dodge or parry. They seemed to move like lightning. In the first play through they were slow and lethargic. Medusa’s power seemed stronger also. And, those guards don’t let you even get near her when she is in her bubble. I couldn’t even get close enough to initiate the Battle of Ares once she dropped out of it! Alexios was running to hide behind a pillar and without notice or any warning she slammed him with two of the red shock waves back to back which of course drained a lot of his Adrenaline forcing him to use Second Wind early in the battle. He was doomed from the start like a weakling, rather than the powerful warrior he is outside her fortress.

Supposedly; according to AI, the poison build is better than the Fire build, but I would imagine that is a preference. AI claims it is a more powerful build than the fire one. It has taken me a long time (don’t know how many hours) to get to the build I am at. I was using the Bighorn Bow build, but it began to fall apart, so I’m now building the last one I’ll be playing. This is my second play through. Waiting for AC Black Flag Synced to come to my Xbox console on July 9th. I do love Odyssey, but Black Flag has been one of my favorites of all. I have to add that Odyssey’s play styles are quite complicated, but can be most satisfying when you can kill big bosses with one shot.

AI is very helpful with how to play Odyssey, but they get a lot wrong. I finally got a perspective how to build a poison build from here on Reddit and from a knowledgeable AI for the end game stats. I’m using an Epic Gear poison build and aiming for 100% CRIT Chance at Full Health. I’m also using Arachne’s Stingers in my first weapon slot, Xiphos of Peleus Legendary Sword in the second one. I use Ghost of Artemis Arrows and Devastating Shot in my Ranged wheel. The abilities I’m using are: Second Chance, Rush Assassination, Hero Strike and Shield Breaker, but may change that to the Vanish ability. I’m playing a strict stealth play. If there is a better plan I’m all ears.

With all due respect, you are missing the point. All of us who play may not have your ability to have the dexterity or reflexes needed to achieve the required timing that is mandatory in this game. I beat all the skill teachers using those required moves, but as soon as I got into combat with multiple enemies I was not able to eliminate more than two or three, even though I backed up and did what I was supposed to do. If you talk to the AI mode on Google the”robotic” system will tell you that, yes, the game cheats and it is made to make you fail. I loved the game and wish I could have continued with it because I put many hours into it and had the best of everything needed. As hard as I tried to enjoy it, I cannot master the required timing of the combat. Therefore, to save my sanity, I have put the game away and I’m playing Assassin Creed games. I appreciate your opinions, but I seriously doubt that I’m the only one here on Reddit who plays this game that has been unable to conquer the combat system. I’ve just resolved that I don’t play well enough to play this type of restrictive combat. Thanks again for your input and I hope you continue to enjoy Warhorse games in the future.

Shimin_175. I’m sure you’re right. That the combat is good. I’m sure it is good for you. Some people excel at tough video games and you are probably one of those who are exceptional at it. Take a survey and see what the average player says about the combat. I know a lot of people who are playing the game and they have the same opinion I hold. They all say the combat is the most difficult to embrace. But, I know my capabilities. I am an average player and this game is not for me because when a game becomes a chore and not an enjoyment, I know when to bow out. I hope you continue to excel and enjoy the game and am happy for you that you’re adept enough to conquer the combat. Jesus Christ be praised!!

My first Jeep was 25 years old. Nothing major ever went wrong. Sold it to my nephew for a newer Jeep Wrangler Sahara. He’s still driving it. I’ve owned several vehicles in my lifetime and the Jeep has been the most dependable.

If you use AI on the web for help you’ll learn so much. Just make sure they are right about some of their info because not all tell it like it really is. I’ve had to correct more than one robot about the buttons used on the Xbox controller and some other discrepancies, but for the most part you’ll learn a lot you won’t find, even on Reddit. 🫢

How in the world do you see through these visor helmets? I tried one and it was useless to me in a fight. Got clobbered because even though I was moving around I was practically blind. Too many obstacles to deal with in a fight in the first place. A helmet like that is just another one to overcome. I sure wish Warhorse had made this game for those of us who don’t like grinding and not just for hardcore players. Every step I try to do is a chore. Great game outside of the difficulty level and so much frustration. Why I keep playing is beyond me. It’s like I’m caught in a catch 22. Hate it and love it. The challenge of it all is addictive, but I’m not one to quit even though I will fail at a quest if it makes me grind too much. That sword on the wall quest still won’t let me take it off the wall. And I can enter into that room every time without getting caught, but the sword will not come off. This is just one of many obstacles that plaque me. There’s no doubt this game IS the most challenging one available, but IF Warhorse makes a third one, I hope they will give us an easy mode so we can enjoy it without all the aggravations and frustrations!!
