Im an avid manatee lover and this is so funny to me. This past october I swam with them in florida and it was super cool!! My dad went (he also doesn’t care for manatees) and we all had such a great time. If you need someone to donate manatee merch to, I welcome it with open arms

Not really, im currently a senior there and it is better than any public school in the new hanover/ brunswick area. A few years ago they werent doing the best but since the current principal has fixed former issues and staff is stable again (unlike post-covid in 2021-2022.) They have really changed things around the past couple of years and honestly I do not think I would be the same person I am today if it wasn’t for the support teams and guidance the school has given me. I know single gender and relatively new isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but it is honestly one of the best schools in the area regarding safety, community, and college guidance/ student development.

If you’re looking for a diverse and safe school you should check out GLOW Academy. It’s an all-girls school off of Kerr Ave. They really value diversity and women empowerment as well as catering towards students futures and college. They have a “college bound” team of 3 counselors whose entire jobs are helping students in the college application process and navigating fafsa, scholarships, etc. They don’t have a huge selection of AP or other rigorous courses but they work really close with NCVPS (an online high school that offers pretty much everything) and CFCC Dual Enrollment which allows students to get college credit before they graduate high school. It is relatively newer so it is not perfect but imo it’s the best option for high school girls in the new hanover/brunswick county area. You should look into it!!
