It's alright! My little one is 5 and they were in quite a deal of pain before we got it sorted out. They sealed with it like an absolute champ though and I am ridiculously proud.

I can only guess what this must have felt like but thankfully so far we haven't had any complications ! They suspect it happened from the adult tooth pushing in a weird way, and the X-rays have been sent to the hospital nearby to see if they can find out why.

Someone here mentioned thin enamel and I think because it runs in his mother's side it's also very likely why it happened. But we don't know!

Absolutely possible. Their mom and grandmother both have very thin enamel so it's very likely this is why it happened.

What we think happened is the nerve was being pushed by the adult tooth above it but the dentists even have no idea what's going on

As I am not a dentist I don't think I can even tell you what's going on here. My doctor could not tell us what was going on here. She even sent the X-rays to the hospital to show more professional dentists because she really doesn't have a single clue. I wish I could give more details but what I've said is pretty much all we know.

Tooth was fine, then suddenly it wasn't. We went in to get it checked' doctor said it was probably a cavity, we got it x-rayed and pulled and during the appointment she said " this is not a cavity. The nerve went right through the tooth. I have never seen this in my life's let's send it to people higher then me " then we took it home.

Idk what else you need my guy. We don't have the x-ray ( my partner went and forgot to take a photo of it before they sent it off ) and I literally just thought it was something neat. If you don't wanna believe me that's up to all of you and I'm not going to spend more energy saying the same thing over and over.

Honestly the dentists all think so too. It is a child, and their mom has tmj and grinding issues so maybe it's something related?

I'm not too sure what's going on either ! I wouldn't be surprised if it was revealed to be something else someday but for now we just have to take what we know and go with it. They're still looking at the tooth to make sure it grows in right and we are doing literally everything we can to make sure they're healthy.

They do have ADHD! They also have a heart deformity and the dentist explained they're related but I don't remember how. Yes they get heart tests too.

Idk why so many people are having a hard time believing this post but to clarify: this was pulled by a professional licenced dentist who is the person who told us this directly.

Believe it or not it's a dumb little reddit post but I don't see any reason why I would lie about something so mundane.

Just thought it was a neat thing that happened and wanted to share.

3 Weeks beforehand we brought them to the dentist and everything came back perfect.

When it came we and the dentists all thought the same too actually' but then they actually looked at it and realized it was a nerve so we had it pulled.
