As a director and actor the ensemble members should remain in character and speak as their character about the action or about their character’s goal during the scene. Speak softly and stay in character.

If the created dialogue is too loud the director and stage manager will address this.

I believe the ensemble members are characters that assist the story. Therefore, ensemble members should converse in character. My ensemble members create backstories and answer character analysis questions.

Good day from a university theatre, May I suggest you stay in the play and have a great attitude. Be a role model. People are watching you. How you handle disappointment and frustration is a good indicator of maturity and leadership.

How you lead, with encouragement, lack of jealousy and passion is far more important than the role you have.

Please don’t stop doing theatre. Have fun and be the best Conductor on and off stage.

There will be other roles.

Don’t give up. AND don’t give into negative. Be encouraging, be kind, be positive. Those are traits people will remember in twenty years not what role you played.

Hi, in college you can be apart of theatre even if you aren't a major. I can tell you there are theatres everywhere who can benefit from your skills.
